Plays well as advertised

Bought this player February of 2021. It played well and sound was good. But the unit didn't last. Stopped working for no reason by the end of September2022. I wouldn't recommend this CD player unless you don't mind shelling out money periodically for new a replacement.

This cd player is okay for the price. I've only used it a few times and it did stop abruptly while I was listening to a CD. It wasn't because of the batteries because I placed a new set of energizer batteries before I used it.This was a replacement of a Durabrand cd player I had owned for over 10 years which finally stopped working. I liked the Durabrand better because the buttons were labeled which made it much easier to operate. Unfortunately, with this Coby, the buttons are not labeled and being the cd player is black, the markings on the buttons are not very visible and makes it difficult to operate. The sound quality was not as impressive as the Durabrand, it will work for now, but I am going to look to see if I can purchase a Durabrand as I don't feel confident this cd player will last!I have only used this a few times in a months time and it suddenly stops during a song. It is not worth purchasing!!!!!

Works well only used it twice so far

I like this cd player but I wish it was more reliable playing mp3 cds. I always use the same format and sometimes it plays a cd and other times it acts like there's nothing on it, I listen to all mp3s at work so it sucks that some work and some don't. Unfortunately I have to use an old school cd player at work as there are no electronics or cell phones allowed in our office so I'm at the mercy of whatever I can find. The radio works well. The sound is ok, no bass boost or anything. The plastic film on the cd player looks like it was removed and put back on, making me wonder if this is a used unit.

This is a really awesome little portable compact disc player!! I've listened to it for hours and hours for a couple of days now and I am prepared to give it a proper review. The sound is crisp and extra great to me, because it has a bass boost. That just gives the music a special drive to it to me. The bass is the back bone of any band and when you have a really good solid driving bass sound, you can really feel the music. It plays the cds well and none of mine skipped at all. I got a black one and really like mine. The cd door is easy to open with a button, when you push it, it pops open. Then you push it shut with your finger. Cd's are fairly easy to load and unload from the player. It has a jack for headphones or another jack to add optimal speakers. There is also an option with this player to repeat and skip tracks or program tracks to play how you want them to. This was a fairly inexpensive portable cd player. I found that for the money I spent, this was an extremely good purchase. I am very pleased with my player. I would purchase it again and I highly recommend this player for adults, children and the elderly as well.So, to sum up, this is an awesome sounding little disc player. The sound quality is simply remarkable for listening to music cd's. It is very simple to use and one really needs no instructions to figure out how to run the machine. For the money, I believe it was an extremely great purchase. An investment no doubt.However, with all it's great qualities, I did find one thing that I don't like. And that is the volume control. Every time you put in a new cd and close the door, the volume control goes to a very high level. It was a little loud for my ears, so when the song started, I had to quickly turn down the volume. So, you just have to remember to check the volume after loading a new cd each time. If not, you will be blasted!!
