We purchased this to put a gift card in and let my granddaughter open it. This is a good one. We purchased 3 other puzzle boxes that we thought would accept credit card of gift cars and they would not accept the credit card. tis blue one is the way to go.

Very pretty and fun to open

Price is decent, finish was pretty nice, fit a little bit loose. It was a little tricky it took me 15 minutes to figure out. But I do have a little experience.

I liked this one, it looked really good and felt quality. The puzzle isn't super complicated but it did take some time to solve. Overall, fun box for gift cards or small trinkets.

The craftsmanship is above average for a relatively inexpensive puzzle box. You will not mistake it for "heirloom quality," but compared to some products coming out of India (where this one was made), it is clearly a superior product. The individual pieces of wood fit together nicely, the box has a nice looking finish on it, and it's relatively hefty for a small box. There are, however, two negative features to consider before purchasing. 1. The "secret drawer" on my box was stuck. It simply would not slide open. I had to pry it open with a knife. Fifteen minutes with sandpaper and beeswax cured this issue, but to get it open the first time, you risk scratching the wood with a knife. 2. This box is advertised as an "enigma puzzle box...a brain teaser." It is not. The solution...the way to get the "secret compartment" open, is so obvious that it really doesn't merit the descriptor "puzzle." So, if you want a nice, inexpensive box to give a gift of money or small jewelry, this product will suffice. If you want a puzzle that'll keep a youngster or friend occupied for more than a minute of two, look for something a little more complex.

Yes it did. It is cool looking it I s s gift for my q9 year old son. I can't wait for him to try and open it.

I really wanted to love this puzzle box, but the poor quality was more than just disappointing - I had to return it as a defective product. I give my nieces and nephews their gift cards/cash each Christmas in puzzle boxes (these boxes make a very appreciated gift much more fun to open than a card or standard gift box), so I've had some experience with different boxes like this. This box design was attractive, and the solution to open it was a little different than most boxes of this type, so I was pleased at first. However... While I was able to open it successfully using the instructions included; as I was re-assembling it, wooden pieces started to break off. (My image with this review shows two small pieces that broke off - and I really was trying to handle it carefully.) Very disappointing.

Great puzzle. My grandson (age 12) loves it. I get him a new puzzle box every year for Christmas, each one a little more challenging. He solved some of the steps quicker than I thought he would. Puzzle was painted nicely, and the wood did not have any flaws.

Good quality..very pretty. Took about 15min to figure out and retrieve christmas gift card. She said she will use for other things. Very pleased with puzzel box.

Great puzzle box, fun to open, easy to hide in plain sight, value for money light weight.

Works perfectly and even arrived a couple days earlier than advertised. Great.

Trop facile

The product is beautifully finished and sturdy, but the "secret" of opening the secret compartment is an insult even to a child. I would not have purchased this had I known. Buyer beware.
