G**K
So far, I'm highly impressed.
I've only used this for two days, so it's a preliminary review. It replaces an eight year old Acer notebook that was slowly failing. I've used Ubuntu and Linux Mint exclusively for the last couple of years. The move to UEFI secure boot means the days of going down to the store to pick up a left over Win8 machine and sticking in a LinuxMint DVD are over, at least for people with my limited skills, hence I was delighted to see the BacchaBox on Amazon. At first I thought the unit was DOA, but found out that there was a bit of a problem with the line connection. No problems with that or anything else, since, and my initial problem caused me to contact the company's help line, which responded quickly and professionally. This unit is exactly what I was looking for. Love the solid state drive, boots up quickly into Linux Mint, and appears to be the right size. The other unit offered by BacchaBox/Helor is smaller but this wasn't apparent to me when I ordered. This one seems about the right size for use as a primary computer replacement. Might buy their smaller unit at a later time to plug into my TV.If you were comfortable with Win7 and are unhappy with Win8-10, I can't recommend Linux Mint enough. I've done about a half dozen installs in Ubuntu and Linux Mint for people, some of whom are pushing 80, and have had no complaints. Linux Mint is a bit more lean than Ubuntu 14.04 and will definitely seem more familiar to Windows users. It's what Win 8 should have been, but much more compact, secure and polished. My only advice to the vendor would be to name both computers with something snappier than "Light Duty PC"-- pick out a couple of bird, mammal, or color names to better differentiate them. This unit might be light, but I think it's better than "light duty". The only other with I'd have would be for a USB3 port or two, although all of my thumb drives have been running on USB2, so it's no big thing. Two days in, it's highly reccomended.
