Frequent buy
Again, another item purchased frequently for the pond. It works and stores well. No issues with cloudiness or color of product/water after application. The fish seem to respond well to it. Easy to use and store.

Must have for good pond health. My pond is 10000 gallons with trout, gold fish, crayfish, trapdoor snails and many other critters. I love this product.

Pretty amazing stuff
Every pond owner should keep some of this conditioner around. I've treated terribly stressed fish with it and lost not a single one. Follow the instructions, but use after high-stress, like pond cleaning, or a few days after treating for algae.

Great Stuff!
I use when I add water to my pond from local sources because our water is chlorinated and very hard. It neutralizes other toxins and heavy metals to make our tap water safer. It helps reduce stress and replaces the fish's protective slime coats as well as helping to heal torn fins and other wounds. Aloe Vera is good for fish as well as people. It must be measured and used according to the instructions on the bottle because overdosing can be harmful. I always mix it with the water I'm adding and use a little less than directed to be safe.

Excellent ammonia remover.
I have used Stress Coat for years in the aquarium and in that situation it is a reliable performer, although I tend to use Amquel now as it removes more 'bad' things. I digress. I have never used Stress Coat in a pond as for de-chlorination purposes I use a three canister water purifier. However, this summer I had a frightening ammonia and consequent nitrite spike in my pond. Usual water changes, more quick fix bacteria added, but to no avail. I saw that Pond Stress Coat was supposed to remove ammonia. The API web site was suitably vague on the subject, but I thought I had little to lose. Added 1.25 litres of Stress Coat to 5000 gallon pond. I took a water sample 5 minutes later. The ammonia was gone. Strangely enough, so was the nitrite, which I do not understand. I would have thought time would need to pass for bacteria to remove the remaining nitrite, but I'm not complaining. A very good detoxifying additive then. The only downside was the Amazon Prime delivery. Ordered Monday, arrived Thursday, not something fish keepers will appreciate.
