Got this for a trip to Hawaii where I had a lot of outdoor excursions in the sun. In combination with a reef-safe SPF, I felt protected from wind and sun. It even provided a bit of warmth against colder waters. I'm pleased with my purchase and plan to use it for stand up paddle boarding and to protect me while gardening in the backyard!

Runs small in arms and chest...big at waist

This rash guard is not a tight fitting shirt. I wear a size 3 but usually order a Medium O'neill rash guard. I ordered this product in Medium and it is probably a true medium if not slightly larger. I kept it to wear as a "shirt" to wear when working in the sun and with shorts but not a swimsuit. This does not fit like a typical O'neill rash guard. The pink rash guard has only hidden side seams like a shirt. I previously bought a blue rash guard size Medium and it fit snug but not too tight. This rash guard has visible machine panel sewn in under the arm so that you do not have a hidden side seam, so you see the stitching in the front and back of the shirt along with the visible stitching at the neck and seam running from the neck to the arm seam. So if the shirt has a hidden side seam it runs larger or more true to size, and if you can see the stitching on the fronts and backs it has a panel running under the arm and is tighter fitting so order a size larger if you do not want to be squeezed in.

just what I needed for my indoor swim class to keep warm

In the water 4 hours every day. I need it for sun protection. It works great.

Tried it on when I bought it and it fit OK although a bit smaller than other size small swim shirts I've purchased. Just OK comfort but I decided to keep it for an upcoming snorkeling trip. Then a few weeks later, after the return window closed, I put it on again and noticed holes in the fabric (note that the tag is still on the shirt - I haven't used it or washed it since I bought it). So now I can't return it and it's defective. Not happy.

I wear a M in normal t-shirts and normally a L in O'Neill rash guards. This one I ordered XL and it fit like the L. I was hoping for a more loose fit which is why I ordered the XL. I kept it because I needed it. I am 5' 8" at 165lb and 38B. It did what I needed it to do, just wish is was a more loose.

I bought this shirt to protect my skin from my bad sun allergies. I am severely allergic to the sun so I guess this product will protect my skin from the sun rays. When I opened the bag, I was shocked by the material. It is really cool, light, and the fabric is "wow". It is exactly as described.Note if you wear large, please buy ex-Large as the sweater is a little tight on the skin. I want to be comfortable in the shirt, so I bought ex-Large. I give it 5 stars because the material is soft, cool, and light. The only thing is I haven't tried it yet outside in the sun. Hopefully it will protect my hands and chest from the strong sun rays.

I liked this but be mindful of performance fit versus slim fit. I wanted one that’s like a second skin, which is the performance fit. Slim fit has a looser fit which is this one. I reordered to get the performance fit.

This shirt is absolutely perfect. It fits on the small side so I ordered a M. I never wear a M and it fits perfect. Good quality shirt. I would buy this again in a heartbeat!!! Wore it in Florida last winter and did not get burnt. It was comfortable to kayak and swim in.

Bought a couple of these for my daughter to wear to outdoor volleyball practices as she hates putting on sun screen but is fair and will burn easy. Ordered her a size medium which just fits her. For reference, she is almost 5 ft 8 and 160 lbs. It’s almost too snug on her and probably the large would have given her a bit of extra room, but she doesn’t have many chubs to hide, so she is ok in the medium.
