1/2" & 5/8" Tapered Spindle Adapter Threaded for Buffing Polishing Wheel for Bench Grinder Left and Right - 1 Pair

was a little skeptical when I ordered these but they are large and hefty, well made, fit well and seem to be balanced. price was right and they were shipped fast. got the ones for a 5/8" shaft. I think the 1/2" ones might be smaller. the only complaint I have is they only came with 2 set screws but have 4 threaded holes. seems to work well with only 1 each but I will probably buy 2 more. other reviewers had this same complaint I believe. oh, when I first installed these I put the left one on the right and vice versa. spun the buffing wheels right off onto the floor lol. works great when installed correctly.

worked as expected no issues.make sure they are on the proper sides and the grub screws are tight.after that smooth easy quick wheel change action is achieved.

This really made changing buffing wheels a breeze, no more wrenching to change wheels or worrying about the arbor size of the wheel, just shut the grinder off and spin the wheel off in the opposite direction as the grinder rotation. Do the opposite to install a different wheel. This is what the Pros use. Suitable for quarter-inch to 1-inch arbor holes on fabric wheels. Just be sure to put the R spindle on the RIGHT side and the L Spindle on the LEFT. The grooves are cut in opposite directions. If you get it reversed, the wheels will come off immediately, get it right and the wheel never comes off and auto-straighten if you move it off center when applying too much force. Great Value; highly impressed. All of the YouTube pros only use these spindles for polishing.

the tapered spindles are fairly heavy duty and seem to be true when they spin. The issue i have is the set screw that is provided is not long enough when you use the reducing sleeve. It is so short the set screw goes past the threads and it is not able to do its job to secure the spindle to the shaft of the motor. I had to obtain longer set screws to secure them to the shaft. this is only an issue when using the reducing sleeve, but that is why i bought this brand!. When using the reducing sleeve, i did notice a slight wooble , not a game changer, but worth noting.Update 2/8/25I want to mention that the seller has responded to my review and has offered a full refund for my inconvenience. I believe that this type of response, any acknowledgement really, is what is needed in this world. I had no idea these existed until I saw a YouTube video about polishing golf clubs. So simple to use since all you have to do is put the buffing wheel on with a couple of turns, start it up, and the centrifugal force tightens it on the spindle. When you need to change wheels, Spin it off, put on a different wheel, and repeat. The extra clearance you get with these extenders allows you more room to maneuver the item you're buffing. Well worth the investment.

The attachments are well made and include both the left and right side for polishing along with two hex wrenchs. Initially I was a bit concerned over the many reviews that reported receiving only one set screw for each arm. To be fair, the photos of the attachments show them with only one set screw installed. Like many reviewers I figured that I'd pick up two more at the local hardware store. To my surprise my set DID include all four set screws.Only one screw was actually screwed into each arm. The other two were rattling around loose inside the attachment. Had I not been alerted to their presence by the rattle they probably would have dropped to the floor unnoticed. I'm pleased with the set and would recommend it to other users.
