This socket was to replace one which had leaked. The quality of the product seems to be very good, with all the fittings included along with simple easy to follow instructions if you need them. The socket appears to be rugged in design and was easy to fit and should do the job for years to come.

Outer casing appears of good, solid construction and is easy to fit and socket easy to connect to power supply.........however I was unable to get the RCD to set. even after numerous attempts at reconnecting and checking all wiring it still would not put power through the sockets despite being live at input. I returned it as faulty and obtained a replacement which worked first time. I am using this for a small water feature with very low loading but after half a dozen on/off it once again refused to reset. I have now obtained an RCD socket locally from an electrical wholesaler which fitted straight into the original waterproof casing which is still working perfectly, as it should, 6 weeks later. I can only conclude that the RCD is far too sensitive so not recommended

Bought 2 other type from else where, this is to replace one that didnt work.Backing box looks similar but is different so had to use the new one and elongate screw fixing holes to match.In use it tripped at inopportune times with an angle grinder. Usually a yellow reset needed but button lodges behind face plate needed freeing off/dislodging every time.

My item was easy to install and value for money

Does exactly as its supposed to. Keeps water out and is installed on the outside wall near my hot tub. Never had any issues.
