This is the second of purchasing this light. Although there is an upgraded version now, I chose to stick with the original as it’s now much cheaper. I work at night and in tunnels mostly on LUL infrastructure and this light is perfect for it. The low level light lasts a long time and the higher bursts are perfect for work that needs extra detail. So comfortable and the Velcro attachments easily transfer to different head equipment we use. Perfect size that doesn’t weigh down on your head/hardhat/airfed. And as mentioned before the prize has dropped from the first time I purchased so excellent value for money.

I’ve used it on a recent wild camping trip and it was excellent. Only used it for a couple of nights so far, but it worked really well. I’m happy with it. The battery lasted for the whole trip without recharging. I didn’t have it switched on the whole time but it was on a lot. It’s a little bit more bulky than my Olight H1R, but a little bit more powerful. I’d recommend this head torch. Good quality. I’ve got a few different torches from Olight and I’m really liking them.

Very good torch, perfect pocket torch for those dark nights and mornings.

Positives: 1.- Small enough to fit in your pocket / to wear as a headlamp, 2. - Metal case, sturdiliy built, waterproof, 3. - Adjustable brightness, very powerful on full setting, 4. - Rechargeable via USB, 5. - Magnetic attachment is very clever and strong. Negatives: 1. - Velcro fitting (when used as a headlight) is too big and loose, 2. - Battery is non-conventional type / size, LiIon / Alkaline batteries can not be used, 3. - USB charging is not for everyone. Btw the (very clever) pocket clip is removeable, unlike it is said in the product description.

How much for a small torch was my first thought, anyway stuck with it and I could have sent it back on inspection. After six months of working with it across the winter as a delivery driver for an online Supermarket this torch has proved invaluable to me. Yes its small it has a couple of settings for brightness I have it on full flood at 1000 lumens. I does come with a head band - err not for me but in an emergency ok. It also comes with a velcro patch which I guess you can attach with some hassle to a tunic. I took a simpler route and just pinned (front and centre) it to the front of my fleece/shirt/coat dependant upon the weather of the day. Battery lasts for a couple of weeks. connector is magnetic and securely attached on charge but it also means that you can attach the touch to a metal object securely say if you are having to work under the bonnet etc. I would recommend this item.

The headband that it came with was okay, and the head torch itself was also okay, but nothing great. The angle of the beam didn't come down low enough to be able to see close up work, unless your chin was buried into your chest. The torch itself is stuck to a Velcro patch, which is far too big for the strap. Therefore, the Velcro scratches your forehead. Finally, the charging system only allows you to charge with their lead, not a common lead.

Does as it says. A good bit of kit.

Once again a great Olight product ! Battery life is amazing, and hands free with the head strap
