Sketchy Product
I cancelled my subscription for this product because I'm concerned about whether the honey in the bottle is truly what is advertised.I recently read the following report on this product by FOX 17 in West Michigan: "Research at Texas A&M University shows that most honey labels aren’t telling the truth, and 75% of the honey in the U.S. is not what it says it is on the label. And this could apply to as much as 90% of the nation’s honey, according to lead federal honey investigator. FOX 17 wanted to know where some of the honey that sits on your West Michigan grocery store shelves comes from, because sometimes the labels just aren’t that clear, according to [Dr. Vaughn] Bryant. So, we took some samples and and sent them to Texas A&M University. Our five samples included a bottle from the company formerly known as Groeb Farms, Honey Tree’s Michigan Great Lakes Raw Honey, Organic Rainforest honey, plus a Meijer brand and a Spartan brand. “Most of them were not what they claimed to be,” said Bryant."When discussing this product, the report said, "Now on to sample 3, which was labeled Organic Rainforest honey. “We don’t know what it is,” said Bryant. The label had the abbreviation “BR” on the back, which stands for Brazil. However, Bryant couldn’t prove it came from rainforest flowers. It came back from testing as a question mark, because someone had strained all the pollen out. “We have no idea whether it’s organic,” said Bryant. “We have no idea whether it’s from the rainforest or anything else. Bryant points out in past cases of illegal honey shipping, unscrupulous honey dealers have filtered out the pollen on purpose so illegally shipped honey can come into the country untraceable to its source. “The United States does not have any affecting labeling laws,” said Bryant."I have since switched to a local source for honey, which costs more, but I think is a better choice for my family and supports bee keepers in my community.

Good Honey, Lousy Container
It's good honey and a great price but the jars suck: To get the last quarter or so out you need to set the jar on its lid. No problem there, most honey is that way. But these jars leak!Four out of four in the shipment ooze honey out of the lid when stood upside down. The lid is shut and I know they are screwed on properly. But honey slowly oozes out onto the counter and every where. Makes a miserable mess and wastes honey and could not be a better way to attract vermin if they designed it to do so.I suspect they changed the jar or lid design as I have bought this honey before with no problems but with four out of four doing this I have to presume it isn't a fluke. Someone probably figured out they'd save a ha'penny a jar if they changed something and got a nice bonus.I will be cancelling my regular order as this makes the product annoying to use and there are other brands out there.

A Honey of a Deal
For several years, I've been purchasing local honey from my local Natural Food Coop. Unfortunately, as the years have passed, not only has the price gone up but they have moved away from the unusual and toward more generic "let's please everyone" products. The local honey, star thistle, that I preferred, has a wonderful strong, earthy flavor to it and I've been missing it. Orange blossom honey is just, well, just sweet. This honey--Honey Tree's Organic Rainforest Honey has that nice strong, earthy, flavor that I have been missing. To me, honey is not just a sweetener but a flavor to add wherever I want. If I want just a sweetener, Splenda is just fine.Truthfully, I purchased this honey because of the price. I wish that it were available as a Subscribe & Save, but, regardless, I will be purchasing it on a regular basis.

nice....but........Honey Tree's Organic Rainforest Honey
I bought this product through Amazon...it is a nice tasting honey....but....when I got the information about this honey that...it was not only for consuming but for the face treatment, in the daily mail, uk, due to be affected by the wheather factors in the very south of Chile where it was suppossed to originate....I was disappointed that is bottled and labelled to be produced here in the US...and says nothing of being originated in Chile...which in the daily mail uk was one of its publicity strenght...either the publicity is misleading or the label is incomplete...

Uber tasty, I just wish it came in larger containers.
We go through a lot of honey in our house (about six, 16oz bottles of this brand every two-three weeks), so I prefer buying larger containers. Sadly, this only comes in 16oz containers...and because it's our favorite, and because we can use our Amazon Prime membership for shipping, we still buy it on a very regular basis. One would think a manufacturer of organic honey from the rainforest would be more eco-conscious. As much as we love this brand, the minute I find another that tastes as good and comes in larger containers, I will switch.

This is excellent honey with a nice strong
This is excellent honey with a nice strong, but not overpowering honey flavor. I have tried many honeys including local honeys from Whole Foods. This is definitely better--the local honeys have a weak flavor compared to this as do most grocery store brands. I like Y S Eco Bee Farms raw organic honey as well, but this honey has a unique flavor that is every bit as good, and this is a great value. I don't agree that crystallization is a negative factor as other reviewers have said. It happens to most honey with age and can easily be reversed by warming in hot water or microwave. Microwaving may damage some of the protein nutrients in honey but not the flavor.

Great product, Not-so-smart packaging
It tastes great. I use it for everything that I may use sugar for. However, bottles have repeatedly arrived with the seal broken and the honey spilled into the cap. Of the 6-pack, about 3 seals are usually broken. My proposed solution to the seller: Don't fill the bottles all the way to the top and provide expandable volume for expansion due to heat -- which is inevitable. You can't fight physics.
