When I began purchasing these balls for Buddy they were less than $2.00 each. That, however is my only complaint. Buddy is now an 11 and a half year old Chihuahua. Let me start by saying that he only plays with them inside. I will throw it the length of the house (about 30 feet) and he takes off like a bat out of hell (well he used to when he was younger) and then he will quickly return it and drop it at my feet. This can go on for 15 minutes or more. His other favorite game is catching it in mid air when I toss it 2 or 3 feet to him. You're probably wondering what's so special about all this, since your dog can probably do the same as Buddy, if not better, right? Well the special thing about all this is that after trying to get Buddy to fetch and catch any number of balls and any number of other fetchables and catchables, these were the only, and I stress only, balls he took any interest in. Why? Maybe the size, which is perfect for small dogs like Buddy or the shape which is oval and not round and therefore easy for him to hold and carry, or the light weight or the bright colors - I'm just guessing now. All I know is that Buddy loves it much, much more than any other ball, or toy for that matter, and loves it now as much as he did 11 years ago. So if you're having trouble finding a suitable ball for your little one, they just might be the answer, as well as being the last balls you'll ever have to get for your doggie!

These are the best "balls" ever!!!Our dog has had these since Christmas (4 months) and plays with them every single day for at least an hour or two. There is not a hint of damage even though the rubber is very soft. Honestly I don't know how they are so hardy when they are so soft (they have no filling. Just soft flexible rubber). They still look perfect!The squeakers are extremely loud so don't let your dog play with them if you are trying to watch a movie!Be warned, the hole in the bottom for the squeaker does let in quite a bit of puppy spit after an hour or so of play so keep that in mind if you decide to play too!They also easily roll on their edge as they are flattened top and bottom, in shape. This means that they will roll under all of your furniture, which means that our dog "tells" us about that every few minutes, and we have to fish them out. So not a relaxing toy for dog parents, but you will have a very happy dog!These are far superior in my opinion, to every other dog ball out there. I hate that tennis style balls get strands hanging off them after a while.If you like the kooky faces on these, check out the Multipet eggs for dogs too, as they are similar in appearance (although larger and egg shaped and cloth covered)UPDATE: We have had these for a year now and they are still my dogs favorite ball! We now have another puppy and she loves playing with them too. One dog is a 22lb Poodle/Chihuahua/Mystery breed, the other is a 10lb Chihuahua/Poodle/Daschund puppy. I love that these balls are soft enough so that the puppy can easily pick them up. I throw two balls together (or they fight about who gets to pick it up) about 100 times a day. I have to hide them during movie time, although our oldest dog groans and grumbles a lot about that! All squeakers are working and NO damage at all after 12 months of very vigorous play (we have a huge box of toys that need medical attention because our dogs love shredding stuffed toys. So these balls are tough!!

I have had four dogs over more than 30 years and I used to be able to buy these as a packman model, but now they are these zany faces. All my dogs have chosen these as their favorite toys. My current dog pulls the stuffing out of all other toys and chews up frisbees. But these have lasted her for 2 years. I'm buying more because I can slip these into old socks to make a great tug of war toy or I have a ball with holes in it that I can slip these into one of the holes and create a new ball that squeaks. Zanies bounce well so make great toys for chasing inside the house and out. I use them as toy incentives for training agility because it is my dogs favorite toy and it fits well into my pocket. My first dog loved to "rescue" these in the swimming pool because it is the right shape and size for easy biting and it floats.

Finally, I found the ball that is the right size for a small dog (maltese and miniture poole mix) that is soft enough for them to use squeaker by herself. This is big enough where the dog won’t choke on it. It is shaped kind of like a flattened ball - it is not round. She loves it and have been playing with it every day since I purchased it! She is not a muscular dog, but am able to press down on it to get it to squeak very easily. Hooray! Maybe you can sympathize if you have small dogs, but I have been trying to look for a small ball that can easily squeak for 5 years! Normal pet stores doesn’t have anything that fits and I don’t understand why some brand says it is for small dogs, but it cannot fit their mouths comfortably. Also, I cannot use small dog tennis balls because my dog tears the furry stuff up and sometimes ingest it. So these balls that I found on Amazon is heaven sent. My dog hit the doggy jackpot!

These are the perfect size for my frenchie. She is obsessed with these. She throws it around and chases it. She has it in her mouth constantly! The only drawback is it stops squeaking pretty quickly (within 10-15 minutes) She’s a pretty vigorous chewer and she squeaks it non stop for those 10-15 minutes so it may just be our experience but she does that with all her squeaky toys and they don’t do that so quickly so it seems odd.
