I could pick nits and give it 4-stars as it is not finished beautifully; the sides are a bit scratchy and the corners had a few burrs. But, it isn't a work of art; as a tool, it is just fine. The burrs cleaned up in mere minutes with a mill file. Checked it for flat on the bed of my thickness planer...dead flat. I bought it for my Fender stratocaster and it fits perfectly, even has the extra fret if your guitar has one. It is quite heavy duty aluminium and should not bend unless mishandled. I could not check the other side, as I only have the FS. Hey! It's made in the USA and still sells for a reasonable price. It came on time, taped to a piece of wood and wrapped in heavy plastic. No way the USPS could bend this without trying really hard.

You can pay a lot for these things but this is the second one I’ve gotten from this supplier and I am very pleased with both the quality and the reasonable price. Highly recommended!

How did I live without this? It paid for itself with the first neck set up I needed to do. I have a Taylor 310d and a Les paul studio and an ibanez style that I build myself. I take it with me to check out guitars I am looking at.

Good price and very straight, but the notch edges are sharp and some notches aren't flush with bits of aluminum that would need to be sanded down. Wouldn't trust using this on my instruments as there is a serious potential to easily scratch a fingerboard. May have occurred during shipping as it was literally placed on a piece of plywood and wrapped with two layers of plastic.If these issues are worked out on future versions and shipped a bit better it would still be a great value at prices 2x even 3x than it currently is.

I can't use it on any of my guitars. Doesn't work on my Fender.

Does what I need it to do....and as others stated its not smooth at the notches. though as the saying goes.....what do you want for nothing....your money back? It works, just soften the notches if you are worried about it. ( or go pay 3-5 times the money to have a pretty soft edge one...It's your call.

Great tool. Straight as an arrow. Fits Fender and Gibson scales perfectly. With a little shifting the 25.5 size worked with Martin guitars too. If the slots were a little wider it would do the longer 25.6 Guild Acoustic scale too. I hope they have one for basses too.
