Small, simple, and ready for action, meet Bot. The newest and youngest member of the family is designed with the same ergonomic features of the older members, but with a fun and bright PTec twist. Featuring two Ultrabright LEDs, break-away headstrap, and auto shut off feature, all housed in a variety of wild colors will certainly be the center of attention. In addition, the battery compartment on the Bot screws shut to ensure that the batteries won’t be accidentally accessed.

Doesn't last more than 6 months
Bought these about 1.5 years ago and noticed there was significant corrosion building up in the battery compartment about 6 months after the initial purchase. Cleaned it once and it worked for about 2 weeks before total failure on one headlamp. The second one for my son lasted a bit longer, and just recently was completely covered in corrosion in the battery compartment. I couldn't recover them. They were never exposed to water and the door is secured by a screw. Honestly very disappointed as Petzl headlamps are all I used while in the Army so I am familiar with their high quality. I guess they have downgraded that quality assurance when producing kids products.

A good kids tool.
I thought I better put a quick review up here because I think these little lamps are getting a bit of a bad rap with only two reviews. My kids played with them at a local nature center in the play camping area. They have had them there for around 4 months now and with the traffic that comes through there I know they have gotten a lot of hard use from kids toddler though middle school. Yes banging them around dropping them dragging them, most likely stepping on them, fighting over them etc. They seem to be holding up pretty well which was a good sign to me.First off they are adorable the colorful selections excite the kids. They are a great sized lamp for kids heads. They are not sticking out like some huge adult lamps. I think the actual lamp is the perfect size for kids. The adjustable strap works well and is made of a fabric type material that slips less than a shiny strap would when on their little heads.I am sorry I cannot speak on the auto off feature, or the battery life since I do not have experience with those features since we only played at the center for an hour and a half, but I must say the head lamps were on my kids heads the whole time so I know my kids LOVED them. My guess is that the batteries would last longer than a previous poster stated, since they are only powering two little LED bulbs, but like I said I don't own one yet, just played hard with them for a couple hours. They kick off a good amount of light for two little LED bulbs. I was impressed by this.I went ahead and ordered two of them for my kids birthday's coming up at the end of the month. They will be 5 and 7 and I am sure they will use them when we camp this summer, during imaginary play at home where they can explore the dark areas of the basment, and my daughter who is an avid reader will probably enjoy using it to read her books on car trips when it is dark outside. For the price, I found these to be a good deal. I got them for, $12 for the blue and red, and $13 for the purple so I also go them free shipping on Amazon.I would say they are more sturdy than a "toy" but yet made for kids in size and colors.I looked into other head lamps and found most of them for adults, average prize being around $20. For a kid that is 5 or 7 these would be far to large and not nearly as fun. So I decided to go with the ones I already knew passed their play test and they were a good price compaired to others. I also considered buying them little hand lanterns, and/or normal LED flashlights. Yet when making flashlights and lanterns for kids, many companies tend to get into the more "toy" side of products instead of actual working tools. If they do make a kid design for an actual good lantern or flashlight they end up being too high in cost. These seem to have the best of both worlds. Good durability, a fun kid friendly look, and an actual working camping "tool" disigned for kids instead of a "toy."Yet a good price that if it doesn't last forever you don't feel like you just lost an expensive investment.

Technical issues
I actually ordered two of these headlamps 1 in purple and the other in the pink. The purple one was bought for my co-worker and she hasn't had any problems with hers since it was purchased. However, I had to return my pink one within a week because when the light was on it would dim on me and then go off. So I ordered a replacement in the same color. Then within a couple days of using it it started doing the same thing dimming after it was on for only like 15 or 20 minutes and then it would go off. So now I have to return the replacement one but my co-workers purple one is working fine. This may sound crazy but I feel like the pink batch May have technical issues.

Great Product
I bought this for my three year old to play and read with in his fort. He hasn’t loved it as much as I had hoped but does use it sometimes, maybe once he is a bit older. The quality is great and the lights work as expected. The design on the band is cute and great for young kids to use.

it's ok
bought as a gift for a toddler...more of a thing to keep track of her easier on camping trips. given the price point vs the output, I think the little plastic olight is a winner. tho for our purposes, it works ok because I didnt want a blinding lamp coming from her head as she looks at you. so, it is ok, as the three stars denotes, as a signal light in camp.

A little expensive for the quality
I don’t like that the battery needs tools to replace. The strap feels comfy-ish. I bought it for my daughter for a camping trip. It is nice to have hands free lighting. But she still uses lamps to go with this... so...

Broke after 2 years of occasional use
I wanted this as a small headlight I could attach to my bike helmet. But the shape is such that it won’t work for this purpose. So I put it with my tools for the times that I needed to tighten a screw in a dark corner, or peer under some furniture. In this role it lasted scope of years, and then stopped turning on at all. Probably was used a dozen times before it broke

A bummer since Princeton Tec is typically an excellent brand and a little surprised by this issue
Ordered for my son and he really likes it but unfortunately the screw for the battery door is either slightly bent or cross threaded when received. Wasn't sure what the issue was at first because it was a challenge to get the battery door open and closed. Now the screw just doesn't hold the battery door shut at all so must be a screw threading issue. I'll have to find a replacement so that we can get it to work properly. My daughter has the same one and loves it and we did not have any problems. A bummer since Princeton Tec is typically an excellent brand and a little surprised by this issue.

Well made and perfect for tiny children
Bought these for my tiny children and they are surprisingly well made. They aren’t that bright BUT tiny kids shouldn’t have access to overly bright lights in my opinion so they are perfect for our needs. Kids absolutely love them.

Super! Meine Töchter lieben sie. Die Post hat die richtige gebracht, hat meine dreijährige gesagt. Das Problem mit dem Batteriedeckel kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.
