I had NO idea how good!
I bake. I bake often, and I buy the best flower like mom taught, and only real vanilla, same, but cornmeal was always the quaker guy cardboard round container. Wow, this cornmeal made my tried and true good recipe, and I mean really good (yankee style, sorry South) really great, completely different taste, texture, I can't say enough about it. Great job Brinser, even though I doubt it's going to find it's way into a grits recipe (sorry Southern readers ;) )

Delicious flavor
This is excellent, pure, fresh cornmeal. The texture is not powdery fine; but also not coarse....just right for making a delicious flavorful cornbread w/ texture. I used a southern- not sweet - cornbread recipe; and the result was just the most moist, firm, delicious, truly flavorful cornbread! Good ingredients assure a good cornbread. THIS CORNMEAL IS EXCELLENT' 'and I will surely use it again. Highly recommended!PS: I didn't rate 'sheerness' because I didn't know what that meant regarding the cornmeal.

Old fashioned taste!
I have several recipes that turn out best with the roasted cornmeal. Grocery stores tend to carry just the yellow cornmeal which I feel is bland. The roasted Brinsers is full-bodied and bold. I use it for cornbread (which my 9 year-old grandson absolutely loves enough to ask for it as a treat), muffins, and an excellent cornmeal bread recipe that contains zucchini, cheese, and onion. My husband and I enjoy this for lunch. It is hearty enough to be the main course.

Great for corn bread!
Glad I found you again! Local grocery store used to carry this product, but stopped. Have been looking for this cornmeal for ages. Love the roasted, nutty flavor that makes my cornbread different from others. Thank you Amazon for carrying this product!

Makes the best corn bread!!
This is from roasted corn. It makes the best corn bread I have ever had. Made in a small Manheim, PA mill. Was happy to find it available.

My Dad's favorite toasted cornmeal!
Can't find this is stores anymore, so I order it for my Dad when he needs it. He likes to make corn porn & corn mush with it. Decent price too.

This Stuff is the BEST!
I was first introduced to Brinser's Best back in the 80's in Florida by a man from Pennsylvania. Use the recipe for the cornbread but substitute Brown Sugar and peanut butter melted in the microwave for your shortening. Unbelievable texture and flavor!
