This does not throw out the same heat output as a propane heater but if you're sitting very close to it you will be warm. This would probably work well inside a gazebo with side walls that block out the wind. I was using it under my deck on a patio so it wasn't that effective.

I recently bought this hoping to get a bit more use out of my patio this winter. It seemed like a very promising product. We used it last night outside and it was very disappointing. You could only feel the heat about 2 feet from the top of the unit (and this was on the high setting). I have a cheap unit I got for $20 bucks that I use in my garage that puts out more heat than this does. I should have kept the box so I could send it back. Massively disappointed on this one. Not sure how it had so many good reviews, it is a piece of junk.Also from a design perspective, if you want to switch between the tall and short options you have to disassemble the entire thing as the electric cord runs through the inside of the two piece shaft assembly. Kind of a pain.

It’s a nice product that generates a decent amount of heat. It’s not for really cool nights but works well in moderately cool temps.

After encountering some issues with the heater, I experienced great customer service from the company. They were very prompt and curteous. They helped me resolve my issues, and I'm very satisfied with the outcome.

This is ok in mild cool weather, but not efficient enough for anything below about 50 degrees. Doesn’t heat good in cold conditions

So just got this today and got excited to use it, put it together, turned it on an was very disappointed. Unless you are standing right up under it you will not feel the heat. As I write this I am on my front porch sitting at my outside table with this right next to me and I don't feel any heat. If I stand up and put my face near it I'll feel heat. If you want this to warm any area I'd suggest getting a different heater unless you plan on standing right under it. Very disappointed and now I have to figure out how to ship it back since I already broke down and got rid of the packaging. Do yourself a big favor and skip this one.

The unit is nice and sturdy, but the heat output is VERY poor. You have to stand near the heating element to feel any real warmth. Unfortunately, we can’t have propane-type tank ms like the ones at outdoor restaurant seating venues. It’s a valiant effort, but misses the mark completely.

The screws are in the unit upon arrival. The buyer has to undo the screws to assemble the unit, but the screws were stripped. I was able to remove 5/8 screws, so the unit does not stand correctly. Disappointed in the quality.
