These are awesome and beautiful. It has one small downside…the magnets that hold the wrap are a little weak so sometimes it just pops off. If they were a little stronger, it’d be a 5 star.

I needed something to hold my mini flat iron as I do my bangs. I decided on this one as it was a holder and a silicone mat. Works great and holds the heat. Love that I can use it as just a mat. I don’t know how well the magents that hold the silicone to the base would hold up to a full size curler or iron.

I needed something to become more organized with my iron. It works ok, but I wished the outer portion that magnetizes would have a stronger power to stick/ larger magnets -it is always coming off.

I am forever looking for a place on the countertop to sit my hot curling iron safely. I don't want to touch it to anything that it might melt while it is still hot. When I saw this I decided to give it a try and it works like I had hoped it would. When I am finished with the hot iron I simply put it into the little silicone sleeve and I don't have to worry about it doing any damage. My only complaint is how it is put together. It is just a silicone rectangle that is wrapped around a plastic stand until it forms a circle and then slips over some little plastic pegs to fasten it down. Resultingly, it is pretty easy to cause it to come apart. I have bumped it or knocked it over and caused it to come apart on more than one occasion.

Anyone who uses hot tools to style their hair should have at least one of these to help protect their vanity and countertops. Unlike most silicone heat protection products to place hot irons or straighteners on, this one stands up rather than laying down. Tools can be placed inside the 'cup' while still hot and the cord can be wrapped around the outside hooks that FINALLY someone was smart enough to attach to a product like this. No waiting for the tool to completely cool before being able to store it away. You're able to do so as soon as you are done and can then set it off to the side. The heat protection is excellent, the whole cup/sleeve and stand are thick enough to stand up to a lot of use, and the cup doesn't tip over easily. It's easy to pull off the silicone piece that makes up the cup so that it can lie flat on the countertop. When done, just slide the silicone square back into the plastic stand, put the hot iron inside, and you're done. This is a little pricier than the plain flat silicone mats, but it is so much better and worth the extra cost. I love mine so much I bought one for my niece as she's scorched a couple of countertops. I think her mom was more thankful than she was. I wish it came in colors other than black and grey. Maybe a red or a gold or blue would be nice. Something to let these blend in a little bit more with the decor of various bathrooms.
