My pups face was covered in weird lesion type things last July. Biopsies revealed she has DLE (skin lupus). Had been on antibiotics to suppress her immune system since then and it killed me having her on them for sooo long but every time I tried to wean her off, the lesions would return. Now, she gets this stuff twice a day for a few months now and no lesions and no antibiotics! It’s expensive for 45 days worth but not having her on antibiotics indefinitely is giving her a longer life, I’m sure of it.

I bought this because my feisty chihuahua has itchy skin problems that develop into hot spots. This product did not help her skin, but she lost weight and has more energy. This dog has been overweight for a long time and she doesn’t eat much. So I am impressed. She is only about 11 lbs and she lost about 4 lbs in 2-3 weeks, while eating the same amount of food. She is at a healthy weight right now and hasn’t lost any more weight. Once we added quality fish oil, along with this product she is much better. We are using this product to help her maintain a stable weight.

I’m disappointed. Standard Process is the best. For whatever reason, this product didn’t help my dog with her skin problems. She gets very dry skin in the winter months. This product hasn’t helped her. Big bummer!!

I am very happy with the Standard Process Canine Dermal Support Supplement. It makes a visible difference in my dog's skin and fur. I've tried some of the other supplements from SP and from other companies too and they don't work as well for my dog.

The dog's hot spots and itchiness has greatly lessened using this with a no grain diet. It took a couple of weeks for me to notice improvement.

Cause and effect are difficult to judge. However, my dog has quite a bit of new hair growth so I'll keep using it.I think it's a lot of money to spend on a dog who doesn't care if she has hair or not.

Some brilliant mind decided to put the measuring scoop INSIDE the product bottle. This ensures that you will waste product if you try to dig it out. I use an old scoop to scoop around it until it is uncovered enough to extract. At the cost of this product wasting any is an expensive proposition. It seems to work; however, going to ask the Vet for an alternative product recommendation.
