Very large lines at any distance under 3 feet
I was expecting a narrow alignment line for a CNC machine. Projected lines were about an 1/8" wide at 3 inches

Great fixturing laser
I purchased this laser to help with alignment of a camera system. The laser is bright enough to be seen in a well lit room from about 3 feet away. As you get further out from the center of the cross hair you can see the diffraction of the laser through the grating so the line looks more like a series of dots but you can still make out a line easily. I've been using this for several months now and have had great success with it.
