Update: I'd only been using the speaker for my tv until recently. Although I was impressed, I didn't realize how good the bass was on the speaker until I used it for my music. This speaker is better than my tall speakers with the separate woofer. I was able to play a hard rock song and crank it up, with no compromise on the sound quality or bass perception. It picks up the subtleness of a cello underscore and delivers the same quality on a screaming bass guitar. I plan to replace my expensive sound system with another one of these speakers.

The soundbar is an excellent value for the money and sounds great. What's more impressive and I have to brag about is the customer service. I purchased this unit 3 years ago (and still working like a charm), but recently lost the remote control. Couldn't find it anywhere. I wrote Megacra asking where I could get find one. Amazingly, they were kind enough to send me a replacement!!!! Fantastic customer service!!!! What a company!

I purchased this as a companion to my projector for movie night, but also something I can move around the house and listen to music. I initially paired it with my ipod (which was super easy), listened to some tracks, thought it was ok, and stuck in the corner.Last night, we fired up the projector and decided to watch the new Star Wars, and holy moly, this thing sounds fantastic. From that opening symphony hit, to the battle scenes, to normal dialogue, it sounds great.Also brought it out to the pool to listen to some music, and it was as loud as I could possibly want it (and could have gotten too loud for my neighbors had I wanted to). For the price and the size, I am very pleasantly surprised.

I got this, as many here im sure, to get a little more sound out of my TV then the TV speakers were able to pump out. the setup was as easy as expected. the looks are great and the fit and finish of the speaker is excellent, I do not have mine mounted on the wall, just sitting on my mantle but the sound is excellent. I am also a big fan of the bluetooth ability, one click of the remote and it instantly switches to my phone to feed my podcast and spotify addiction. If I were to be really picky I could fault it for the volume level, it really isnt that loud, but to me this is more of a plus as you are less likely to get complaints from your neighbors in an apartment.

I use this speaker via bluetooth as my laptop speaker - mostly for music. The bass is very good, the sound overall is excellent for the price.I've mounted mine on the wall below my monitor - it was very easy to mount. They supply a nice cardboard template to help you pre-drill the holes for the mounting brackets. I didn't use their hollow wall anchors (they were the very cheap kind of hollow wall anchors) but other than that - everything was very solid. Once the two brackets are anchored to the wall, the speaker just rests inside them via hooks on the back.The bluetooth connection has been working very well so far. I'm not a fan of wires anywhere so going wireless is nice.The plug for the unit is similar to a laptop plug. It is in two pieces with a small "brick" in the middle. I buried mine in the wall so you can't see it - it was small enough to put through a 2.5 inch hole I put behind the speaker and covered with  2-3/8" Flexible Desk Grommet - Color: Black - 3 Pack . It was a tight fit, but doable.all in all, i recommend this speaker - nice sound, easy to mount, looks good.

I purchased this for a TV with not so good a sound. The only issue I have is that when there is loud music in the background of a movie or tv show, it is sometimes hard to hear the voices. It may be my hearing but seems that the bass of the music somewhat overwhelms the voices. I tired setting it a little different, but at times, that does not seem to help. For the price, I think it is still a pretty good deal. If it says Bluetooth, you don't get the stuff you need to run it wireless. I suppose that is extra. That was not clear to me in reading the ad. Something to note.

Sounded pretty decent.I didn't read the posting correctly, and did not realize that this soundbar would not work with the digital audio on my tv without an adapter.I tested it out with bluetooth before returning it, and it sounded pretty decent for the money! It did seem to "govern" itself - or protect itself when the user was trying to turn the volume up too high.I'd recommend giving it a try - make sure it's compatible.

Initially I thought this was awesome, the sound was great and worked exactly as expected. Within 2 weeks the remote quit working, something haywire with the battery contacts. With the remote not working this product is virtually useless because there are no manual controls to toggle through the input functions. Buyer beware!

MEGACRA Bluetooth 4.0 Connectivity 3 Audio Modes 60 Watt 34 Inch Sound Bar with 2 Bass Reflex Tubes, 4 Speakers, Remote Control and Wall Mountable This review is for the 34" model Item model number: UP-S11-BLACK. The specs. are slightly different from the lager model MEGACRA S9620, 38"The Sound bar looks really smart and is quite heavy 3Kg thanks to the good quality speakers inside it. Its 60w power which is more than I need to fill my sitting room with good quality sound. It has various inputs including optical, digital coaxial and RCA left and right. I have it connected to a 43" LG 4K Smart TV via the optical lead (included in the box!) The sound is truly excellent I'm no expert but I am fussy about the sound and this passes the test. It has a remote control which works very well to change volume, input source and sound mode. There are three sound modes✔ 3D SURROUND MODE: , SR-1(Music), SR-2(Movie) As everyone's tastes and setup are slightly different just choose the mode you like depending on what you are watching. I've been using the 3D mode for Watching movies and Netflix & Amazon.It has Bluetooth 4.0 as well, so you can stream music from another Bluetooth device like a smart phone , tablet or laptop I connected it to my laptop very easily and it took less than 30secs. to pair and start playing with impressive results. For me this sound bar is perfect because you can have good quality sound at a reasonable volume so you don't have to 'Blast' it to hear what's going on. Once I had set it up, I tried it on "Star War The Force Awakens" and it sounded brilliant you can hear so much more in the background and the dialogue is now properly audible at low to medium volumes. It can go very loud so be careful when you turn it on for the first time as mine was set to full blast and I thought it would 'break the windows' so you will find there is plenty of scope to find the right volume which works for you. The is no Sub-woofer option for this model but I can honestly say I just doesn't need one, if the do want one the larger 38 model has that option to get the sub-woofer but this bar on its on has plenty of bass which you will find out when you watch any action movies. I would highly recommend this Sound Bar for anyone who hasn't go space for a full home cinema setup but wants excellent sound from their TV.UPDATEIf you want to listen to music from a usb source i.e. flash drive etc.. I would recommend you use a small extension cable as the port is tucked underneath (this is for those who don't have on the wall) It makes it much easier to connect without moving the sound bar. Great value sound barPros-Great Price: On the cheaper scale-Connection options:there is various connection options including bluetooth and optical, i don't notice a drop in audio quality over bluetooth which is great-Build Quality: Very well build sturdy unit-Sound: I amen't able to compare to other sound bars but what I can say is this significantly improves audio compared to your tv. For the price bracket I very much doubt you will be dissapionted with the quality, if you are buying then comparing to something far more expensive then you may be able to find faultsCons:The Light: The light on the front is annoying, imho it should dim out when audio is in use, there is no need for a light to be showing in the bar, it is even more annoying if using bluetooth as the light flashes bluePreset audio options: Whilst the options are useful and do improve different types of things you are using it for like music or movies it would be good to have more than 3 options

This is a great soundbar for the price. The sound from my flatscreen TV was never brilliant but this is really boosting it up. Have tried connecting via the Aux to the headphone socket of the TV and also via the optical cable. Both work great but you have to remember to turn the TV sound down (on my TV at least) or else you get sound from both which is a bit echo-y as others have pointed out. The fact that there is an echo means that the soundbar is a tiny bit out of synch but, for the most part, this is un-noticeable.I love my new soundbar and Dr.Who will never be the same again with this in place.

Simple to use and very good value for money. I considered spending a lot more to get a decent sound from my 55” tv but decided to go for this cheaper option. Maybe not as good as a Bose system but much cheaper. The TV sound was poor and I found I was missing a lot of dialogue. Partly because my hearing isn’t great but also due to the poor sound quality of my tv. This product solved the problem.It is also very useful for playing music via the Bluetooth from my phone.

Plus - the price but you do get what you pay forNegatives - firstly its very very bulky unless you have a large room and TV its going to look out of place (in my opinion)More importantly the sound quality is awful. Very tinny (and I accept there is no separate sub woofer but it should still be better that it is)However most importantly this is in no way an 80Watt speaker. At maximum volume it was still poor (it does give some detailed instructions on configuration but these made no difference and having spent some time also research the web I was sure that it had been set up correctly).This soundbar is worse both in sound quality and volume compared with the TV it was connected to.Unless you are going to connect this to a very old TV I would stay well away.Sent back for and refund
