VortexOptics Blaze Orange Hunting Vest & Hat Combo

Hat:- The hat fits the way I personally like a ball cap to fit. It is adjustable so you should not have an issue regardless of gender, age, head size, hair, etc.- Good material. Feels like a better material than some hats you buy at a gas station, wal-mart, etc. More comparable to something you buy from a sporting goods store with a ball team logo, nike, under armour, etc.Vest- Fits a little on the large side. I generally wear the upper end of XL, but not quite a 2XL. I have plenty of room to throw this over a larger puffy or thicker outer layer. It also sits and forms in a way that it will not feel baggy if I am just wearing a light-weight base or mid layer and shooting my bow.- I do not foresee it causing issues getting tangled while bow hunting or hiking through brush, however, if you personally want a snug, slimmer fit, this probably is not the right product for you.- Material feels very nice. It feels like it will hold up better than stuff you buy at wal-mart.Overall Impression:- You could easily pay this price for a single hat or single vest and not get something that is as good of quality. This combo is really a nice deal and should work well for everyone except for those who are either very slim/petite or those who really want snug fitting.- Probably not the right option for the younger side of youth hunters.

Nice kit for what it is. The hat is great. Stitching looks like it'll hold up well.The vest is big but it's supposed to be to fit over cold weather gear. I'm 5'10" about 165 and it's very loose without my cold weather layers on. It's a simple, cheap vest that will pass all blaze orange laws. Buckle could be a bit more robust but for a cheap vest, it gets the job done.I'm a fan. It's not for you if you aren't in an area where blaze orange laws and cold weather overlap. Buy the hat alone if that's the case.

Caps come in many shapes, but this one is to my liking. Curved bill, soft mesh material, fits my head nicely. The under-bill is black so you forget you're wearing a florescent orange "look at me" hat. The vest is, in my opinion, sized correctly, it is a quiet material and it has a small quiet clip in the front. It is easy to get off and on and easy to forget that its there. Besides, I like Vortex. They tend to stand behind their products better than most. Definitely recommend.

This set is perfect for quality and inexpensive hunting equipment. I bought this for deer season this year just to grab some cheap orange equipment for various hunting grounds. I am a bit of a vortex enthusiast, so I was happy to see the pricing but I was a little worried about the material in the vest just basing it off the pictures. I was happy to see it was a cloth and not plastic material. It is light weight but really good quality and does not make excess noise when moving through the woods. The hat is perfect size and adjustable. Both items in this pack are really quality material. The brim on the hat is hefty and nice like you would expect from a good baseball cap. All in all I would absolutely buy this again but I doubt I’ll ever need to as I don’t think they will ever deteriorate.I added measurement photos for those wondering about specific game department requirements.
