Worked great for the project they were bought for.

I wanted a specific color and a specific brick and this was the way to do it! Other choices look like Legos but they're not and others offer a more cheaper but if you look closely, you will see that you are getting the weird shapes that are specific to a certain set, not the core building blocks. Unless you want all these little oddities. We wanted basic building Legos. Legos calls them bricks. A plate is not a brick. Copies of Legos can be near impossible to separate or, on the other hand, don't stay together (yes, you can watch them randomly pop apart like popcorn). In short, Legos cost more because they are made better and are more fun and safer to play with.
