Best suitcase
Bought this same suitcase 10 years ago. The absolute best case. Lightweight and durable. Needed another case and was so excited to find on Amazon.

Great suitcase!
Great suitcase. I have 2 of these, one purchased from Amazon. When another suitcase (not one of these models) with non-TSA locks was broken by TSA and came around the baggage claim opened and broken with my clothes falling out I immediately got on Amazon from my phone at the airport and ordered one of these. It arrived the next day while we were on a trip - fantastic! I like that this is hard plastic all the way around. I travel a lot internationally and it's nice to be able to lock the suitcase and that it cannot be unzipped or cut open. The suitcase has always been good and it's lite given the size.I have had this same suitcase for about 4 years and it has literally been around the world. I've wheeled it on all types of surfaces and never had an issue with broken wheels or broken locks. I probably overstuff it as well so it's always heavy. As for the reviewers with broken wheels I think some people were just unlucky with baggage claim. I do wish the wheels were replaceable in case one ever does break. I also wish the wheels were a bit larger in diameter, but it's not so bad. I would definitely purchase again when the time comes.

Customer Service
This company and its staff Rizalynn, Romeo, & Diane are the best. Ordered luggage that got lost by Fed Ex and the company made sure I got a refund. I ordered a replacement for the lost luggage and it got to me with 8 days. Definitely sell sturdy and quality luggage and has the best customer service. This company deserves a 5 star review

It's beautiful and very light but it's not as strong as the older models.
1 YR Review:- Wheels are surprisingly good, I've roll them almost weekly on a lot of rough sidewalks and they are still sound.- Shell shows some scratches but still great after all the punishment of US airports- Latches are very good still. TSA lock feature is a blessing for me since I carry some instruments that always get checked by TSA.- Very light and easy to handle.Mine arrive with one of the strap anchor broken already. The reason I didn't send it for exchange is that I saw the screws are holding in a small piece of plastic that will break eventually if you put too much pressure on the straps. The handle is kind of shaky, it doesn't fit snugly on the hole. The old style of two posts handle was better.

Great for Airlines [UPDATE]
This is a very large and robust case, which I really find can hold up well to travel. The lack of zipper really makes for a robust set up. But the sheer size can create some issues.I have travelled several thousand miles with this bag, it's been lost twice, one time taking a cross country jaunt without me from coast to coast. It's bright and obvious to see, so baggage handlers can spot it in a sea of other bags, as can I.So far I don't have any issues, although being so big it can be a bit cumbersome at times. What you lose in convenience you gain in storage space.***UPDATEHaving owned this case for less than four months and flown less than 30 times, my luggage showed up on the carousel missing a wheel. Now I get that baggage handlers are not that gentle, and I get the bag was pretty full (although not even close to being deemed 'heavy' by the airline), but an entire wheel breaking off so soon after purchase is inexcusable. The airline of course calls this reasonable wear and tear.I've had it too long for Amazon to take it back. And forget your ten year warranty from Samsonite; that's just a joke. They specifically exclude damage such as this. Yep, they make a bag with the word "F'light" in it, and then essentially tell you that their bags can't withstand the rigors of actually taking them on a flight. The only upside is that the case is well constructed, so I can use it as a fairly weatherproof storage box. I'll have to buy another suitcase though.I am beginning to question Samsonite quality control. I bought one that lasted well over 150 flights. Then another that lasted just months (the TSA lock broke so I couldn't lock it). Now this which lasted less than four months. At this rate I'm going to be spending $600 a year on suitcases. Beginning to wonder if I need to look to another brand.

Won't win any award in the looks department, but it's perfect for those 2x50lbs check-in luggage limits
Sizeable, almost no extra pockets inside, no frills, This is the perfect 2nd check-in luggage to use for those long-haul flights, for those trips when you know you'll be carrying back home tons of items after shopping, and you would want to maximize the usual 2x50 lbs limit. I was able to fit even a sizeable Husky floor mat inside. It has survived 6 intercontinental trips in the span of one year (with connections). The luggage "aged" considerably with scuff marks and visible scratches big and small, but it doesn't bother me. I have no problem so far on durability and reliability--no cracks, no broken wheels. I have seen an exact same model being dragged with even worse battle scars (probably "proudly") by a flight crewThe non-zippered closing is not problem to me. Sometimes collars or sleeves are left hanging-out closing on first try, but it's not too much of a hassle to fold better, tuck them all in, and the try closing again. The rolling is smooth enough, although my Silhouette model is better in this aspect.Samsonite should not phase out this model. Bought it for 130+. Cheap, non-luxurious alternative for those needing a luggage to carry 50lbs .
