Bob Books, Collection 3: Compound Words and Long Vowels

These books are so great helping my 7 year old to get into reading.

In September of this year my daughter did not know how to read at all. A friend lent us a set of Bob Books, I opened them up, started my daughter with set 1, book 1 and now (November 2017) she is on set 3 halfway through the books. My daughter is now reading on her own, reading everything she sees and I am so impressed! I had no idea that Bob Books worked like magic! I had seen the Bob Books sets advertised before, but really didn't believe the hype-well let me tell you it is not hype, these books somehow teach kids to read and this is coming from a mom who had a VERY reluctant reader. A good buy and well worth the money, just be sure not to buy the little bitty books that are cheaper.

These are great when your pre-k or k are just starting out reading. They definitely teach how to apply basic phonics rules. Plus the stickers and activities add some fun Once your kid gets the hang of reading though, you might want to switch to something that is not quite as repetitive.

It helps new readers with their reading profession

I have purchased other "BoB" books that were used. These were--BY FAR--the best condition I have had thus far. I don't have to talk to the quality or usefulness of the books--they speak for themselves--the collection of "BoB" books overall is the best collection I have found to teach my son how to read (UsBorn..not so great but I tried!") BUT this seller was awesome. Great price and great condition.

Got this after my 4 year old master the first two collections. This one took a little longer to master but it was still a fun and relaxed way to learn. THe stickers were a great simple reward. She is now 5.5 and her kindergarden teacher is reading at a 1st grade level and only getting better. I am so glad I didn't listen to her pre-school teacher, when they said she wasn't ready to read.

Love bob books! My son is very into learning to read due to these books! The seller was amazing with communication and promptness. We ordered used books and they look great and are exactly as described!

We own lots of sets of these books. They are very well designed to take kids from reading simple words to complex sentences. My son is now in KG and is perhaps the best reader in the class thanks to these books. The only way these won't work is if you don't use them.
