Excellent for hot drinks and beautiful
Very impressed with this bottle, tested with hot water overnight and it was comfortable drinking temperature after 12 hours. I was going for a 8 hour test but forgot so I was expecting it to be cold. It was between warm and hot which means it will easily be hot for up to 8 hours. We bought a few metal bottles in the summer so we could have ice cold water and discovered they don’t all work. This one is great with hot and cold, although hubby is using it for coffee now we’ve tested and had excellent results. The artwork is beautiful too, the design was the reason I ordered it. We all love birds - we have one who rules our home in fact, so I couldn’t resist this.We found a brand that’s exceptional for maintaining ice cold water overnight, even with the lid off. When it started getting cold my hubby wanted to use them for coffee but none of the ones we have keep it hot enough. He leaves at 5.15 am with a travel mug so wants a refill around 11 but the best result was lukewarm. I know these work because I have family and friends who use theirs for coffee but we hadn’t been lucky finding one that maintained hot drinks. After trying 3 and getting lukewarm coffee every time my husband refused to believe these work for hot drinks. He’s happy to be proved wrong in this case and loves the unique design.

Trendy and distinctive with top thermos credentials
There must be hundreds of these insulated drinks bottles on the market, but I’ve never come across one that looks anywhere near as distinctive and colorful as this. And this cute cockatoo model doesn’t just look good, its thermos credentials are top notch into the bargain. At 500ml, the size is perfect for fitting in a car drinks holder or even into a big handbag. This makes it eminently more portable than the more common liter size, which I find too big and clunky for carrying around. .I’m using my bottle exclusively for water so that I can stay hydrated when out and about. I like my water ice cold, and the wide neck on this allows me to add in a few ice cubes. I usually drink 500ml within a few hours, so I can’t really envisage a situation where I’d test the bottle to its 24 hour limit. However, for the sake of this review, I did try it out and can confirm that the 24 claim is 100% accurate.I also tested the bottle with tea, filling it with freshly boiled water and leaving it at room temperature for eight hours. After four hours, the tea was still hot enough that you had to sip it. After eight hours, it had cooled slightly but was still perfectly drinkable.Other important points:- the bottle has a solid, flat base, which I prefer to the dimple style as it is more stable and impervious to dents- the screw-on lid has a coated thread so screws off and on like a dream- the bottle is 100% leakproof- it is not dishwasher safe, which makes sense given the enamel coating and designIt couldn’t be happier with this brilliant product and award it five stars without hesitation. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Good quality and well performing, with a distinctive, attractive design
This is a well-made and well-functioning insulated drinks bottle, with the added bonus of being quite different and distinctive from the norm, courtesy of the attractive artwork on the lower section of the bottle. It’s just a shame that the designers have, for some reason, only decided to use the artwork on one side of the bottle, meaning that, when viewed from the opposite side, it looks just like any other pink drinks bottle. My personal preference would be to have the artwork on both sides. It’s claimed that the bottle can keep drinks hot for ‘up to 8 hours’. As is the case with most of these types of bottles, depending on where you keep the bottle and how hot you like your drinks where you keep the bottle, 8 hours might be slightly optimistic. I filled the bottle with hot water, just off the boil, sealed it tightly and left it in a reasonably warm room. Eight hours later, when I opened the bottle, the water temperature had dropped to 69℃. I suspect the same proviso also might apply to the claim of ‘up to 24 hours’ for cool drinks. However, I have no doubt that the bottle would keep your drink cool for pretty much a working day, which probably is as long as most people need anyway. The cap fits the bottle well, screwing down nice and tightly with a perfect seal. No matter how I stored and treated the bottle there wasn’t any sign of leakage. You are probably paying a premium of £1-£2 over other insulated bottles for the benefit of having a distinctive, attractive design. I’m not sure I would pay that much extra for my own use but would do so if it was intended as a gift for someone else.

Lovely design and good heat retention (see photos)
These are quite simply put - lovely. We really like the animal design and print. We opted for the parrot and when we first got it we weren’t that keen as it wasn’t as the traditional macaw style parrot but it very quickly grew on us and we now really like it. We think that this design would be a perfect Christmas present or birthday gift. It’s quite pink so so that would have to be taken into account in terms of the potential recipient... But there are other animals and designs that might be more suitable for non-pink lovers! So designwise we really like it but this counts for nothing if it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do which is keep drinks hot. How are use case is to make a cup of tea in the morning see you in a flask and then drink it at some point a few hours later. We therefore don’t need up to 8 hours of thermos capability, but this is what we tested. We boiled a kettle and immediately poured into the flask and sealed. As you can see from picture one the temperature was 97 degrees. We left this untouched for just over 8 hours. As you can see from picture two, the temperature had dropped obviously but was still at 64 degrees. This is more than good enough for our needs of a small flask of tea being taken into the office/on site etc.We are really happy with this flask and it’s a clear 5 stars in our eyes.
