Great amp
Amp sounds great and puts out good power and clear sound. However I've just wired up a subwoofer, so I'm using all 5 channels. And at full volume this amp does get very hot. This is a great little amp but be careful of install location as if using full usage it will get very hot.

Great sounding Kenwood 5-channel amp for applications where space is an issue. Not much room in my 2016 RAM 1500 Crew, so went with this amp because of its compact size. The unit fits nicely under the rear seat, behind my Atrend BBox sub enclosure. The amp is connected to four Kenwood Excelon 1800 speakers in the doors and a pair of Pyle 12” Bluewave subs (wired in parallel) - base sounds pretty good, but I know the Kenwood amp could punch harder if I had better subs in the back. I ran a Rockford 4awg power cable down the drivers side and Rockford twisted pair signal + speaker cables down the passenger side (remote turn on and remote base control wires can go down passenger side too) and everything sounds great - no electrical noise or interference.

Love this! Works well. I really don't know much about the whole stereo systems, but have installed two of these. One in my car and one in my son's car. I don't know how to adjust it very well, but did what I could and it sounds good to me. I'm sure it could sound better with more knowledge on adjusting it. It has even worked decent in the high summer heats of Arizona without AC in the car although it gets very very hot.

So, a buddy has a 2015 Silverado, local shop put in a Kenwood head, Memphis door speakers, and BOSE adapter. He complained about distortion and he was right (Bose Factory amp is terrible) We decided to add a sub (Rodney's custom boxes, Google him, really good sub, well built) and this amp. It was the best decision ever. System is really loud, clean, sharp & punchy. This little amp (lots of tests on Youtube) Does it's rated power and does so with style. We're running the Sub channel at 2 Ohms, and DOES get hot, ended up spacing the amp up off the mount and adding a small squirrel-cage fan next to it. This is my goto small amp now, great for "very capable" systems (I wouldn't drive 4 SKAR12's or anything huge with it) But for a single 12" sub system, what a monster. Bravo Kenwood.... Bravo.
