Q: I saw that this server comes with missing parts. what parts are missing? does it come with an os loaded?

No parts are "missing" it comes with exactly what is listed in the title and product description. No OS license is included.

Q: Is this server ready to install and run or will I need to purchase additional parts?

It was complete. Plugged it in installed Linux and Oracle. Everything works perfectly. CPUs newer, faster, 12 core not 10 core as advertised. Drives 1.2 TB sas 15k not 600GB sas 10k as advertised.

Q: Does hpe flexible smart array p440ar license key included?

No license is required for the 440ar raid controller. A license is required for HP support using ILO (Integrated Lights Out). As to getting HP to respond to MULTIPLE requests to get cost and support information, this remains an unknown. The DL380 proliant is a well engineered computer and the prices on amazon for renewed units, are exceptionally cheap. You can not buy a new pc for twice what I paid for the proliants we have in the shop.
