Don’t fool yourself into believing that your 1 1/16” deep socket is gonna remove your oil pressure switch. You’re just gonna round off the corners. On a 2004 gmc 5.3 all you need is the special oil pressure deep socket and a 3/8 drive ratchet. Reach your hand down behind the rear of the engine and pull the latch of the connector off the tab and up out of the switch. Slide the socket on and then reach a short 3/8” ratchet onto the socket. You’re just gonna position the handle so you can back the switch off a revolution or two with tiny movements until you can spin it out by hand. It shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes total

Better option and prices as opposed to buying from an auto parts store for $50. No problems since installed on my 2007 Silverado Classic 1500.
