Speck Products Samsung Galaxy S5 CandyShell Inked Case - River Rock Grey/Black

In trying to find a case for my S5, I must have purchased and returned 6 or 7 cases. I'm sooo picky. I like a tough case but my criteria is also looking cute. My husband thinks I'm nuts but hey, you have your phone with you 99.9% of the time, it's an extension of yourself. But I digress. Aside from being a pretty case, I'm also picky about the material. I wanted something that could easily slip into my back pocket but not slip out of my hands. This one fit the bill both ways and more. It's such a great case and slides into my back pocket no problem. It's a gel-ish kind of case but isn't too slippery. The heat of your hands kind of facilitate a natural grip. It also fits the phone really well but it's also not impossible to get on an off. It's got just the right amount of grip and tightness around the phone. Overall I love it and it's exactly what I was looking for. I did not give it 5 stars because it took FOREVER to get. I pay for Amazon Prime, which this qualified but for some reason took an extra few weeks to ship. It was on backorder, which is fine but then don't advertise as Amazon Prime. That is a criteria I look for in a purchase and one of the reasons I chose this case.

I bought the Floral "Inked" series for my new Galaxy S5 and couldn't be happier! It was a bit pricier than others, but trust me, it's well worth it. I'm really picky about cases, I've tried countless styles and brands over the years. This one is gorgeous, one piece, with the protection of a two piece, the buttons are the perfect firm/soft ratio. They're like a soft touch silicone or TPU, but have a thickness to them that you often cannot get with just silicone. The inside of the case is lined with the same material so you feel good about popping your new phone into it. All ports line up perfect. The only possible thing I could say, is that it does make the fingerprint scanner a lot trickier to use. And it definitely makes the USB 3.0 charging port hard/impossible to open. I've had to take the case off many times to open the port cover in order to charge. But I fix this by usually just keeping the port cover popped open. I think those 2 things would be an issue with probably every case however, it's just a difficult thing to design around.

This has seriously been the best phone case I've ever owned. I've had this case for a year now, still in perfect shape and has saved my phone from breakage multiple times. The rubber rim around the case is propped up a bit over the glass so if it falls face down it most likely will not cause damage to the screen, it hasn't for me this whole year. Before this case, I was breaking my screen randomly (usually when it was dropped on the edge) at least twice a year maybe more and I'm not a clumsy person or a drunk stumbler.I love how it is pretty slender on the phone and yet gives amazing protection even without a screen protector. I always veered away from otter boxes or the like because of it's bulkiness and this performed just as well in my opinion, is slimmer and looks so much nicer. I love the designs this company has too, so I didn't have to sacrifice the cute factor. If this case ever breaks, which I feel like it'll be another few more years, or I want a different looking case, I will for sure shell out the few extra bucks to go with this brand.

Beautiful and great case

My wife is very pleased with this case. All of the holes line up where they should and the quality seems to be top notch. The rubber parts are purple which provides a nice outline for the screen and the phone. The buttons all stick out just enough to be easy to find and recognizable. The case has a nice image that makes it stand out when it's laying face down on a table or sitting in her purse. The only drawback is the case is slippery. It's so slippery that I'm worried she'll drop the phone. I might even look into altering it to prevent a death drop.All that said, it is a nice case. It's well constructed and I suspect it will hold up with the typical Speck quality. If you're a person that never drops your phone and you like the looks of it, I would recommend it. If you've dropped your phone on a couple of occasions, you might want to consider another case.

I love this case! So much so this is my second purchase. Vibrant colors, great protection. The first one was purchased in person when I bought my phone. After almost two years it was cracked on the ends a bit, still functional, but my Android died before the 2 years were up and was replaced by my cell phone company. (My phone overheated and died, not broken from a fall). I decided to get a new case just to be safe when I was ordering a new tempered glass screen protector. I'll upload photos of the the new and old side by side. The one with the phone in it is new. Hardly any fading and it protected my original S5 through many falls. It just has a small amount of damage to the case a tge corners, but since the inside rubber is still good I probably could have kept using it without issue.

Although I had read the reviews I didn't expect the crisp vibrancy of the colors. It's exactly what I wanted. I like that it has a smooth back (shiny and easy to keep clean) but a rubber raised rim in front (keeps it from slipping when face down and protects glass). It feels smooth in my hand, but not slippery because the rubber rim provides grip as well. I like that. Another thing I noticed is a rubber insert at the corners. My guess is that it creates a buffer to prevent cracking in case of drops. All the openings line up perfectly so that all the controls work as they should. I can't speak to durability since I just got it. Would definitely buy this brand again.

Case is exact colour shown , very beautiful and as expected the case is not only nice looking but the protection for your phone is amazing!! The case fits well and the buttons covers do not impair use of your phones features. A fantastic case and I highly recommend!! Delivery was fast and I am one satisfied customer!!

Bought this case for myself about 4 months ago and absolutely love it. Great protection and beautiful design. Very sturdy as well, doesn't snap like otter boxes once you try to take it off. The bottom of the case has a few small cracks due to the amount of times I have dropped my phone, however, other than that I'd highly recommend this product.

Love speck cases. They have saved my phones so many times. The decal is starting to wear off on the galaxy one. I would suggest buying a solid colour speck case.
