Works great, easy to use!
I had previously been using the liquid and no matter how careful I was, I always ended up with blue all over me. These packs are super easy, just toss the packs in throughout your lake and give it half a day to spread out. I read other reviews that said the packs were porous and blue powder was getting all over so when I first opened this 16 pack, I was super careful but as you can see from the pics- there was no mess. The inside of the main bag is clean, the packs are individually wrapped in groups of 4 and the picture of my gloved hand is after handling 3 packs- no blue mess. Maybe they changed they way they are packaging these to keep things cleaner? I will still wear disposable gloves because you never know lol, but so far these dye packs are very easy to use.I am using these to try to cut down on algae growth (and also trying to reduce nutrients load in my lake) and I feel like the liquid is darker, but I will use these 16 packs over the next few months and update my review if this method doesn't end up working as well as the liquid.

Makes the pond look so clean
Wonderful product. Makes our ponds look really nice. Only down side is we have not figured out a way to get them into the pond without getting dye all over us. We've worn gloves and tried different ways of throwing them in and still end up with spots of dye on us.

Blue Dye Everywhere
I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch, but the 16 count bags are divided further into 4 bags of 4 dye packets. Each one of those four bags had a large amount of loose blue dye powder that inevitably got everywhere. If you have had that problem you realize that a little bit of the powder goes a LONG way. I love the idea of using the packets so I don't have to kayak out to the middle of the pond to evenly distribute the dye, but if it's going to be an extreme mess it's almost not worth it. Besides the huge mess it's a good product.

GREAT PRODUCT
This is the only dye we use for our pond! Very easy to use and disperses well! Be careful - use gloves to avoid dying yourself!

Works wonderfully!!
Easy to use, and the end result is awesome. $200 worth treats a 16 acre lake and 3, 2 acre tanks here on the ranch. As for all the the gripes and complaints, folks you need to be at least 2% smarter than what you're dealing with.....apparently some of you aren't!!

Not as good as liquid dye, not for my pond.

Not what I hoped for.
This dye is crap compared to some other dyes. For one, the packages are not individually wrapped and just opening the main bag leaves you covered in blue. Second, I put on gloves and walk out to the pond carrying two packs and toss them to the middle only to come inside and have my wife ask why my face has all these blue dots on them? The packs dissolve well enough but seem to sink within 30 seconds and I wonder if the color gets well dispersed y to o the whole pond. 2 should do the trick, but I find that it takes 3 when other products use only two so I’m spending more per coloring even though each packet saves me a little over the other product. I gotta say, Precision Laboratories TrueBlue is a little more expensive, but easier to use and seems more effective....especially because of the packaging. The cost is about the same but this product claims it will treat more water per packet....so I decided to try it. I’m not thrilled.
