Got here early and just as described

I really like this textbook because it is written in very simple ways, not like some textbook almost purposely use very complicated explanation. This book is very straight forward!

OK, this is not a deep dive book but its great at giving a complete and concise overview of all the working parts of JavaScript. If you start with a deep dive book, it will be more confusing. Its well designed for skimming rather than reading a novel about functions. Its not superficial either, it explains some of the most complex concepts so anyone can understand them and with relevant examples. Finally, for beginners, it provides practical exercises that will give you some hand-on experience. I highly recommend it.

This book started out okay with an example web page linked to a JavaScript. After that, it became a laundry list of syntax explanations. Coding is not a spectator sport.
