Princeton Tec stood behind their warranty
I bought this headlamp more than 10 years ago, and it developed cracks in the housing and the lens. The company has a lifetime warranty on this product. I contacted Princeton Tec and got a return authorization. They replaced it with an equivalent model, new in package, with batteries. Solid service and warranty.

Great light at an affordable price!
I spent a lot of time reviewing headlamps and all reviews pointed to this one. They did not disappoint. I even ordered one for my friend after my trip.

Failed after 1 use
Recently purchased, used it once camping. It failed to work when testing to get ready for a 2nd camping trip. When I opened the battery compartment it was all corroded inside. Don't know why as the 1st use was NOT in rain or damp situation and I kept it in a baggie to protect from moisture in any case. So, not my idea of a quality product.

Redesign
This light is very bright on the first two settings, however it seems that it burns through batteries like nobody's business and forget about rechargeable batteries that's even worse.the headband is very well made, the pivots that hold the light to the headband should be redesigned and made out of metal rather then plastic as one side broke and no longer holds the light

Very Good General Purpose Headlight
I'm a straight up tech geek and have several different headlights and really, really like this light. I'm a firm believer in the tool matching the purpose and frankly get a little irritated reading "reviews" from users who simply are mis-applying a tool. I have a very rugged Petzl industrial light for wearing on my hard hat and it's as tough as nails, and therefore a little heavy. I want a lighter option to wear for general purpose and this light fits the bill nicely.I'm an avid trout fisherman and we fish a lot at night. Unfortunately I've taken many spills in the dark and the light handles submersion with no problem. I love being able to tilt the light down into my immediate work area or up and out for viewing at a distance. I also like having multiple levels of brightness for different situations and this light differentiates the levels nicely. Bright is bright, dim is dim, and medium is in the middle. Seems simple enough, but many lights I've tried are just too close in their different levels. One very nice thing about this light is that after a few seconds at a level, the next click will turn it off, instead of having to cycle all the way through all settings like many lights.I've had this light for about 3 years and my pivot is as solid as the day I bought it and I cannot understand some of the negative reviews concerning that point. Just an FYI, I run Lithium batteries in all my headlights as they're much lighter than Alkalines and of course contain more energy for longer use. They do cost more, but are well worth the extra money.

LIFETIME WARRANTY
I have used princeton tec headlights for several years, I have used my lights many, many hours for work and camping and such, QUAD AND FUEL, they have been very reliable overall, you can turn the light off by holding down the button on for a second, you do not have to push the button 4 times as one reviewer suggested, anyway, If you have a problem with the light Princeton Tec will repair or replace it if you contact them, no worries.
