Decent Pair of Ceiling Speakers
This is a great pair of ceiling speakers, they are not totally flush fitting but they are quite aesthetically pleasing when installed, and they can provide a convenient sound source for bathrooms and kitchens. At £25.99 they are reasonably priced, their main selling point is obviously the fact that they are water resistant, but they function perfectly well when installed with a little pre-planning. The cable provided is a little short for installation of the speakers into walls or ceilings, so you will more than likely need to invest in some cable, which isn't such a bad thing because the cable provided isn't exactly the best for decent sound quality. With sound quality in mind, fitting the speakers into a partition wall should provide a reasonable enclosure for the sound waves, and it would be the same to a certain degree when fitting the speakers into a ceiling. However, for ceilings, if you've got some old boxed speakers lying around, the boxes can be utilised to good effect (as long as they are not too big), simply strip out the front board along with the old speaker, then attach the box face down over these speakers (if fitting them between the beams of the ceiling in a loft). Alternatively, a simple speaker enclosure can be constructed over these ceiling speakers, using MDF for example, which should provide the best bass and mid range sound quality available (dependant on the stereo/amplifier source).
