If you can build this thing with your significant other AND survive, you most likely found a partner for life! This thing gets 1 star for ridiculous assembly, the wood is cheap and the bag of hardware seriously terrifying! But it gets 4 stars for the visual of the finished product for a total of a 3 star rating. I've NEVER had issues assembling anything EVER however this thing presented itself a challenge for both my boyfriend and I. I secretly thought of pulling an "Office Space" and putting a baseball bat to it more than I care to admit. But, after only 3 hours of me asking him if we were in hell without realizing it we finally got it together and it looks and performance great! If you're into seriously punishing yourself, this product is for you!! (Also, your mail man will HATE you!) Enjoy!

Beautiful unit, fireplace looks good and puts out significant heat. My only complaint is that I wish there had been dimensions for the shelves in the description. We got it set up and were ready to get our electronic components installed and discovered that none will fit on the shelves. The shelves are 15 inches long, all of our components (receiver, cable box, blu-ray player, etc) are 17 inches.

Had had this item fully assembled with a 50" tv for a couple months and was really enjoying it. Bought some other new furniture and had to scoot the tv stand over to the left a little. After about a week I noticed the whole unit seemed to be bowing in the middle! Figured out the tiny piece of particle board provided as a middle "leg" to support the weight of the fireplace unit had slid out of place when I moved the stand and was no longer supporting the fireplace unit, which is quite heavy. It was an easy enough fix for two people--one lifting up on the unit and one moving the piece back in place. But this is something you shouldn't have to worry about happening and could damage the unit over time if you don't notice, troubleshoot, and fix the problem right away.

Let me start by saying that I'd like to have given this product a 5 star rating....I only give it a 3 because of some aesthetic flaws and the level of difficulty when putting it together... I had a few pieces that came with small scratches and one piece had a small chunk missing. That being said, I took pictures of my unboxing just in case I needed to return/replace anything. Luckily the slightly damaged parts are not visible due to them being on the underside or inside of the unit. It took me a fair amount if time to assemble this but it was worth it!...the instructions are a little tricky at times it would have been slightly easier if I would have had some assistance lifting it during parts of the assembly. The most difficult part was securing the fireplace...that was nerve racking... overall, I am so pleased with my purchase!! It is very sturdy and much nicer than the piece of furniture it replaced (that was double the price)... hope to have it for years to come!

It was a nightmare to put this thing together, the material it is made of is also really cheap. Just moving it up against the wall after assembly the part along the top hinge on one of the doors caved in so now the door loosely hangs when opened, then has to be lifted upward to close properly. You truely get what you pay for here, I recommend buying one of these made of actual wood. Other then that luckily for me the damage is unnoticeable & at least it looks really nice. Overall, 0 stars for the material & 5 stars for how good it looks sitting in my home.

I love this product. I put it together by myself - 64 year old woman - took me about 2.5 hours. Was fairly easy. Love the fireplace look - heats nicely for the room I have it in, although I bought it mostly for the looks of the fireplace. Very happy with it!

It came with over 50 gouges and scratches. The lock bolts didn’t work. Seller was lousy. Thankfully an Amazon agent stepped in and gave us a refund

The media could not be loaded.  Mine arrived broken, so sending back regardless, but here is a video of the fire for anyone interested in this product. It does seem to give off a decent amount of heat.
