Audio-Technica AT-VM95C Dual Moving Magnet Turntable Cartridge Blue

Although I had a doubt regarding the sound quality of this product, I would say it sounds fantastic.

Compré el cartucho con el tipo de aguja más sencillo por expresarlo de algún modo, pero quedé sorprendido y muy satisfecho por el rendimiento de el cartucho y la aguja, el sonido es claro y limpio, por ejemplo al reproducir las S pronunciadas por el vocalista son claras y sin silbidos. Cuando llega un crescendo se aprecia la capacidad del nivel de salida del cartucho, es fuerte claro y brillante sin molestar a los oídos. Y la gran sorpresa es que puedo ocupar el mismo cartucho ponerle una aguja de diferente diseño y dsifrutar de sus características con el mismo cartucho. Definitivamente una gran adquisición.

I installed the AT-VM95C cartridge on my restored thrift store Garrard Model 770 to replace the factory installed Shure M93E cartridge. There wasn't anything super wrong with the Shure cart, but given how expensive reputable aftermarket styli are for it, I wanted to replace it with something newer and more easily replaceable and this AT cart fit the bill.Installation wasn't the easiest, though this is mostly because the headshell of the Garrard seems to be of a weird design compared to most other decks. The headshell itself is integrated into the tonearm and the cartridge mount actually slides out the front. The cartridge then mounts through the bottom opposed to the top. This makes mounting the AT cart a little tedious because of the threaded inserts since you have to have the threads on both the bracket and the cartridge perfectly flush otherwise the cartridge will wobble even when the screws are tightened all the way down. Once mounted correctly it is very stable although if the inserts were through holes instead, mounting would've been easier in my case. I wouldn't think this will affect most people though.As for the sound quality; it's great. I'm no audiophile so I can't go into any extreme detail about how this cartridge/stylus combo impacts the sound quality but compared to the old Shure cart I replaced, it has significantly less noise (almost no percieved "whooshing" sound) and everything I've played on my Klipsch Three II sounds crisp and punchy. Overall really happy with it and for the price, this is a great way to shore up an old deck without breaking the bank.

La serie VM AT95c parte con questa testina "basica" a taglio conico che fa egregiamente il suo dovere...Ottimo suono...chiaro e limpido...La serie offre la possibilità di cambiare stilo senza smontare la testina che rimane sempre la stessa ,possibilità di UpGrade del modello alla versione E, EN, ML, e SH,ognuna di esse offre sempre qualche cosa in più in termini di suono a seconda delle proprie disponibilità economiche.Consiglio per chi deve restaurare qualche modello vintage ad un prezzo più che conveniente rispetto ad un incredibilie risultato.
