Work perfectly for lighting buildings on my model railroad and lights on my switch control panel. With a little modification they accept LEDs with a resistor.

The design is a little confusing sometimes with the plastic standoff thing, but that's only a minor point and they seem to work well and do what they're designed to do.

They work just fine. They are oversized so that the LED isn't actually secured into the holder. An LED will slip out, so keep that in mind when you make plans for your design. The "plug" does nothing to push the LED far enough forward and doesn't do anything to help secure the LED other than keep it from sliding into the enclosure. I was hoping these were a real equivalent of the Radio Shack metal LED holders which were perfectly sized for 5mm LEDs and the rubber plug would squeeze onto the leads of the LED to hold it very securely. It's not like there's any actual variance in 5mm LED sizing nowadays...These will do the job, but I'll be using clear hot glue to keep the LED secure and at the right depth in the housing.

As described LEDs fit perfectly. Look great installed in the power supply.

I used these LED holders on a panel that I was making for my model railroad project. They work well and as advertised. Good product at a good price.

I actually received 51 and I was missing 19 plastic inserts so I went to Home Depot and bought an 89¢ 1/4 inch wooden dowel, used my Dremel to size and cut the dowel pieces, drilled 1/32 inch holes in the ends for the LED leads and made inserts for the rest of the Panel mount LED holders.😄
