- It's a Wood Planer made with a traditional design used by Japanese carpenters. Great for grinding wood surface.
- This is an excellent Japanese plane (kanna) that seasoned carpenters will also appreciate.
- It excels on softer woods like pine, redwood and cedar, but they are not meant to go into maple or cherry or hard oak or tough grain woods.
- You do need to tune them up before using, so a little patience is necessary. But it's well worth it.
