so it is great to the last drop
The strength of a french press, without the sludge, so it is great to the last drop. It does take more time to pour water and watch it drain, about 2 minutes, but it is relaxing to do :)Tip 1: Highly recommend getting a "pour over" kettle with this, because you need a little bit more precision and control then you might get with a normal kettle spout.Tip 2: Don't fill it to the top and try to make a full pot of coffee! The grounds quickly expand, so you need some room for that

Great dripper, no compromise on flavor
This dripper is great - the inner layer is remarkably thin (steel?) and works even with some pretty fine grinds, while the outer layer has larger holes (that the company says are laser-cut) that allow everything after the initial filter without compromising on flavor. It works fast, it's almost too easy to clean if you have a powerful sink sprayer, and it makes a better cup of coffee than the rest that I've tried.I'll follow up on this review later, but don't let the slightly higher price stop you from considering this as an option - it looks as great as it works.

TERRIBLE.WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.
Does not work. The filter has been clogged from the beginning. The first two months it worked a bit but the poor-over took 30+ minutes. I stopped using it cause my new building offers free coffee. I just took it out of the storage and tried it again. No matter if your coffee grains are fine or thicker, you will maybe get a spoon of liquid coffee if you are lucky. I have tried pouring slowly, and pouring rapidly. I tried multiple coffee types. Even if I rub the edges the liquid does not come through the filter wholes and I have been cleaning it well. Disappointment,

Solid performance. Makes a great coffee.
Solid product. My 3rd Osaka filter that I purchased to use when I'm on the go. I have both the Titanium coated filter (without the base) as well as the uncoated Stainless cone filter that I use with my Chemex pour over. My only minor gripe is that the where tip of the cone attaches to the base isn't as sturdy as I'd like to see and the supports are a bit sharp on the edges. As with the other Osaka filters, making sure that your grind isn't too fine is key. I use a slightly coarser grind setting as compared to when I use a Kalita or Chemex paper filter. The coffee oils give a more robust flavor depth and a nice mouth feel when using this method. All 3 Osaka filters make consistently good coffee. I use a Bonavita gooseneck kettle to pour and water moves a bit more quickly through these filters so adjust your technique with the pour. I do switch between Chemex, Hario and Kalita pour overs and their paper filters from time to time but I like the robustness of the coffee from these filters when it suits my mood.Remember that before first use for this type of filter, give it a thorough cleaning, especially since the machine oils and whatever coating is left over from manufacturing really clogs these things. Give it a cleaning by soaking and lightly rubbing with BarKeeper's friend or something similar followed by detergent and then a good rinse. No issues with clogging, sideways dripping or inconsistency if you maintain the filter.

Solid pour-over option
I like it because it can brew a cup pretty quickly with top notch results. It definitely brews more quickly than pour-overs that utilize filters. Not needing to buy those is a huge pro as well. When you're done, the wet grounds do stick to it which makes cleaning it out slightly tougher than just tugging out a filter, but at this point I'm nitpicking. Once you get the grounds cleared out, cleaning the thing is as simple and quick as can be due to it being stainless steel.

Beautiful to look at!
I am very serious about my coffee and enjoy trying different blends and methods of making a good cup of coffee. This journey of exploration left numerous coffee machines and coffee in my designated storage room. I have learned the best method is often the simplest one. Pour over method is now my favorite method. I saw this on Amazon and loved the look of it. Why only 3 stars? The coffee coming out from this drip is too oily and most importantly not hot enough. Being a metal construction the water heat dissipates quickly if one takes time trying to get most of the flavor of the coffee grind. I will keep on experimenting with this itrm to try what is possible to make the best coffee out of this item. Another problem I have is the base is not big enough for some of my favorite coffee cups. Right now my favorite drip maker is the GSI Outdoors Collapsible Java Drip which is also sold on Amazon. I use that together with the reverse French Press idea, or commonly known as the Cowboy Coffee method, and my small Bodum French press.

The Japanese have done it again!
This is a beautiful thing, works really well. It's very light and delicate looking, I'm handling it with loving care. Just dump the grounds out after each use, rinse, spray it with a strong cleaner, rinse again. Dry it off, looks like new! The brew is a like french press, a very tiny bit of mud in the cup. I think if I used the right grind, there wouldn't even be that! Comes with good instructions. Ah, I'm in Miami, some kinds of Cuban coffee are cheap (promotional), maybe a dollar for a 10-oz brick. Why not preheat the cup while you're at it? In the end, you'll have something serious.

No more taste of paper!
I bought this to eliminate the taste of paper filters from my coffee. Using this, I noticed the difference immediately.I usually only make 1 cup of coffee at a time, though I don't see why you couldn't make more with this device. The only drag is that it's not as easy to clean as a paper filter -- but it does rinse out easily. I haven't had problems with grounds sticking to it at all.Definitely recommend.

Brilliant for clarifying butter!
I use it along with a filter paper to filter clarified butter. I want the paper since I'm trying to remove very small particles and I want the stainless steel since I don't want to be pouring hot fat across plastic.Works a treat. And you can leave it on top of the jar in the oven where the butter stays warm and liquid to speed up filtration.I'll probably try using it for coffee one day too!

I really liked it at first
I really liked it at first, coffee tasted amazing. However, after using it for a few months the filter has become clogged and I tried to descale it as suggested in other reviews but it didn't help. Can't use it anymore as the coffee is completely cold by the time it dripped through. Disappointed - I had high hopes, thinking this would provide a solution for using paper filters.

Awesome flavours when it works but clogs too much
I think the coffee flavour from this is awesome!!! but over the month we have had it the drip has slowed. sometimes the coffee can have a more bitter flavour as its doesn't drain. We have soaked with bicarb, nail brush etc but 2nd persons cup always slows up and could ge a little cold if we didn't use double walled cups4 Month Edit: I still think the flavours are awesome when this works but the clogging has got worse even with overnight soaks. Lovely coffee flavours replaced with bitter coffee. pretty disappointing when you know how good the coffee can be. Anyone got a tip on solving this?

Worth every penny and it'll save you money too.
Just as good as its Titanium coated (and more expensive counterpart), it delivers the perfect cup/mug of proper fresh coffee within seconds. This one is for home use, the other one I bought is at work and has already saved me nearly the cost of the filter already.Buy two (one for home, one for work) and in a few weeks you'll have saved and got back the money you would have paid in a coffee shop.

I bought 2 of these, one for work and ...
I bought 2 of these, one for work and other for home. Firstly, they hold very little fluid so you have to stand over it. Secondly, after a few months, one flows through immediately (along with the coffee sludge) and the other takes about 1 hour to empty. Both have been put in the bin.
