These are great pants. They are a good in-between weight and fabric material. Warm enough to layer up below freezing and do okay in these hot summer days of construction work. I would rate them a 6/10 for breathability. The fabric does not grab stickers or burrs when I'm in the field or hiking. It wears well, between my construction day job and outdoors activitites, I can wear a pair for about 8-12 months before a significant tear appears. Usually the tears happen around the bottom of a front pocket from my phone. The edges of the pockets are durable (and thin) too, great for your pocket knife, flashlight, or tape measure. The zippered slash pocket on the left thigh is the big winner for me with these pants. Big enough for a small flashlight, pliers, nippers, aviation snips, smaller wrenches, slim folding razor knife, a rectangular nicotine vice, a folding comb etc etc etc. And the zipper is great. They look pretty good as far as not screaming that they are tacticool, "country", or have a million lines and pockets like some pricey outdoors pants go. Don't wear these to the office or a date, do wear these in the woods or on your motorcycle. Are they the most comfortable? No. Though they allow for movement, they are stiff. I can't knock a star off for that. When I'm kneeling on a rough surface or crawling, I appreciate that they are a "Reinforced Utility Pant."I do wish it was easier to buy odd numbered sizes, I would buy more of these for sure. Between weight fluctuations and layering up, i would like more options for sizes. These have been my favorite Wrangler Riggs line of pants for 90% of blue collar life and hobbies. I'm on the lookout for the next best work pants, so far though these have been the reigning champ for three years.

Large... but gets the job done.
I bought a pair of these for winter hiking. There are pros and cons to these pants but otherwise they do exactly what I bought them for. Here are my thoughts! As I said, I needed something to both keep me warm and to protect me from the elements. This does both of those things for me and I have worn them both around town and on some hiking trips (most notably in the Smoky Mountains). These are very warm pants. I tried to wear these on a warmer Tennessee day and that was not a great idea! That being said, I've always stayed warm wearing these in colder weather. Just a small tradeoff. Also, I normally would wear 32/29, but Wrangler doesn't offer that so I always buy from them 32/30 instead. This is normally okay for the most part except these seem to be extra long! They even fold under my shoes while I'm walking. The only time I ever got them to stay up is when I was at work and wearing my boots. I get that you want more fabric to block the wind and protect me from the elements, but this is way too much. It makes me wish they had a 32/28.Speaking of size, it's also a bit wide even by Wrangler standards. I have Wrangler jeans for work that are 32/30 and will stay up even without a belt, but when I went hiking in the mountains I forgot my belt once, and they kept sliding down! What's weird is that sometimes it fits and sometimes it doesn't, but I don't know if that's the pant's problem or if that's me actually getting wider/narrower throughout the day, but this is the only pair of pants that has done this to me.With the negatives out of the way, here's all the positives...Extraordinarily sturdy! I accidentally slipped on a cliff and smashed my knee into a sharp tree stump once, it didn't even scratch my pants! It washed right out (and I'm okay). The pockets are small but plentiful. My phone (Galaxy S10+) with a case will barely fit in the side pocket, but it does indeed fit. And the materials seem sturdy.Fits great with boots! Maybe not so much with small shoes like I prefer, but then again that isn't what the pants are made for so I can't bring myself to lower the rating for it.Overall, I have already went and recommended this pair to my friends. It's not to be confused with their lightweight "plastic" outdoor gear, this is for someone who is serious about the outdoors and wants something more like jeans but even tougher. I personally enjoy the color, style, and comfort of it too!

Durable and stylish every day pants.
Never review things. Now own 6 of these in brown and tan. Best pants. Replaced my aging Kuhl stuff. Don't even wear them as work pants, just every day wear in Arizona. Durable and not overly heavy. Can't even tell the knees are double layered. Fit is perfect, not baggy but not tight. They are sized to sit higher on waist so if you wear things lower change length ordered accordingly. 6ft 170lb 32x34. Very happy. Price is great.

Quality & fit & accurate sizing
Very comfortable; both fit & material.Inside waistband has nice soft cotton all the way around behind where belt is. Nice touch!!Fabric is very sturdy; material feels thin, not bulk, but surprisingly heavy. Extra pockets, very good reinforced construction.Fit is on the snug side, more like a good fitting pair of jeans & definitely not baggy work pants. Again, nice touch. Measurements were right on! Very accurate. I prefer good fitting pants over loose/baggy ones. These are great !!Added material for reinforcement in all the right places.Only drawback is that I wish the pockets were an inch or two deeper. So 4 stars, not 5.They’re prob a bit warm on a hot summer day, due to heavier material, but the other 10 months of the year — excellentI’m sure these will last a long time. Better for & quality than most other brands

Awesome!
Hands down the best pants on the market for work, play and casual use. Pros: Comfortable yet trim. Canvas material is durable but not too stiff. Reinforced knees. Deep pockets but not too deep. Length is on point. Cuff is reinforced and wide to go over boots, no skinny make here. Pockets are horizontal and not vertical, things in your pockets stay there when seated. Cons: I've owned 4 pairs, of the 4, 1 was off... they were baggy, I don't like baggy, I like trim. The waist is a little too stretchy and forgiving, with a belt they are fine, but they can be a little baggy in the rear. Every single zipper on the leg phone pocket has busted... but I've never dropped or lost a phone because of it. Conclusion: Kudos Wrangler, you made a great pant. Keep it up.
