Spark Innovators H-SR2500 Slice Right, 10-1/4, Green

Extremely cheap build quality. The bar attaching the two ends together is very thin, and was broken out of the box. Not asking for a replacement because I can't see this lasting very long with use anyway.

Perhaps I don't know how to use this properly, but this made the biggest mess when I was trying to use it. The item arrived promptly, but I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone.

The Slice Right Melon slicer does not work well on round watermelons, which happen to be the most popular size. The cutter will cut straight slices in one direction but when it is used to cut in a cross slice for smaller chunks, it makes mush of the watermelon. I love watermelon so I have tried it several times with unsatisfactory results each time. The Slice Right might work better with a long watermelon shape but does not work well with round shaped melons, especially if they are very ripe.

I have never seen anything like this. Liked it so much I bought one for a friend. Slicing watermelon has never been easier.

It cut the watermelon, but that little bar broke off on first use. I put it back together and it kept popping out. Threw that one in the trash. Used the second one to cut a melon for a party, and it's still in one piece. I don't expect it will last long. I think a melon baller is far more useful and sturdy.

The metal part of this product has spurs and I cut my finger on those. I did not notice this because they were very near the handle/green part. Otherwise they are very heavy and I found nothing wrong with them. I got them from Sparks Innovators because they are the ones on the TV ad.

Both of these watermelon cutters broke the first time I used them. I will have to try to find an alternative tool for slicing my melons from this point on. I will not purchase another one.It appears the weld on the slicer breaks with the slghtest pressure applied while drawing it through the meat of the melon.
