These are the great looking and a good size for the money. It's a good price for a ancient relic.

This is a great gift. The packaging leaves a little to be desired. They come in a hinged plastic display frame, but the frame has transparent plastic sheeting instead of something sturdy. The fossils are held in place by the plastic when the frame is closed, which leaves some bubbles of air along the polished side.

I ordered ammonites from several companies. Kalifano made me feel like I received something of value in the quality of the product and care in packaging and handling. Really a whole level above the rest.

These Ammonite shell fossils are beautiful and perfect! I hope I look this good millions of years from now like these do! LOL

I bought these as "friendship fossils" so my friend and I could each keep one half of the ammonite - and they really are beautiful. They're small, about the size of a half dollar, but you can definitely appreciate the unique chambers on the inside that are slightly crystallized. The outside of the ammonite is slightly opalized which is really beautiful. The pair arrived in a sturdy presentation box with a glass viewing window and pins to secure it closed. Anytime you buy a fossil or crystal online, there's no telling exactly what you're going to get as each one is one of a kind - I was pleasantly surprised with these and would buy them again.

I was not sure what to expect, but was presently surprised to see it was very well made and looked better than the pictures.
