Vixen War Paint Purple Rain Conditioning Hair Color

SO MUCH FUN! Easy to use, messy though - be careful not to get it all over your bathroom like I did. After two washes/shampoos the color did fade a little, but it's still vibrant and I love it. I have light to medium brown hair with highlights (from last summer!) and the color took beautifully to the highlighted parts of my hair-which was my intention since I work in an office, I just throw my hair in a bun to cover the color. I've been getting a lot of compliments when I wear my hair down.

I have been dying my own hair for over 10 years now. I was so excited to try the deep rich color but I am sad to say, nothing happened. I normally have deep red hair to begin with but I was looking forward to this deep plum of a color. I left it on closer to an hour (since someone else decided to use the shower) which is normally not a big deal with my normal hair dye. Sadly, after blow drying I realized I have no color change and I still had roots. I wanted to love this so bad too. Wish there were color swatches of the other colors since I still want to try this brand but I'm not sure if this will keep happening. Can I return empty bottles?

The color was beautiful, and perfectly refreshed my slightly faded ends. I definitely see it washing out in each shower (my co-wash turns pink and then it gets all over my walls and floor), but the color is still vibrant and perfect for between salon visits to get my roots touched up! I will definitely re-purchase this item. I'm considering ordering this and mixing it with a more purple tone to add to my ends for a more ombre effect, which I think will compliment this color so much! If you have longer, or thicker hair, you may need 2-3 tubes. One was just enough to cover my roots and most of my ends (my hair is med-long about 3 inches below my shoulders, and semi-fine).

Looked really cool but faded almost instantly. If you are going to use this, I would suggest doing it for one event. If you wash your hair or go swimming it will wash out very quickly or come out completely.

I partially bought this for the awesome name "Purple Rain", but don't be fooled. It does look like a black purple eggplant color in the tube and when you squeeze it out of the bottle, but when I was rinsing it out, it was definitely a dark blue. The end result was a solid dark grayish navy blue, no hint of purple at all, and now it has faded to a greenish color. My hair did feel conditioned and soft after, but the color was way off and not what I was expecting. If you're hoping for any shade of purple, you'd have better luck choosing something else.

So, full disclosure, I have medium brown hair. I wanted a red-purple tint on it, so I purchased the Mulberry color. I got a very small tint on my hair that only shows in the sun, so it was more subtle than I going for, but very pretty, and I was really pushing it by putting temporary color over brown hair. Tip: Don't be alarmed that it comes out of the bottle bright red!I only gave 4 stars because it would have been nice if it came with some sort of applicator tip and gloves.

I recently had a red balayage done to my hair and needed a color refresh. My base color was a reddish orange, and it came out to a red-magenta (photo with straight hair) after using the shade "Mulberry Bush". It was a little different than I was expecting, but I fell in love it. I've been through a few washes already and the color has muted a little (photo with wavy hair), but it's still sticking around.If you found this color on Pinterest to achieve a cherry cola color, you need to be a natural brunette. If you're using it on lightened hair, be prepared for it to turn out bright magenta. My hair felt so soft and healthy after I used it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to change up their hair color.
