PetSafe Compatible RFA-188 Replacement Batteries (5-Pack)

Product is a perfect fit for my mini labradoodles electric fence Collar. The five batteries last approximately 6 to 8 months.

I was about to give up and buy a new bark collar, and then I found these for my dog's old PetSafe collar. They fit perfectly. Saved me from spending another $75 plus.

A little disappointed in the battery life. The original lasted months where these seem to be a little shorter. Overall still a great value.

First of all, it’s true that the plastic seems softer than the manufacturer’s own battery. I suggest using something completely flat and longer than the top slot, using plenty of even pressure when you twist to remove the battery. I learned the hard way and thought I was going to have to throw my collar away because the slot stripped when I used a quarter, which was what I used on the more expensive battery. Then I tried a butter knife and finally a screwdriver and in the end I completely stripped the slot :( I don’t even know how my husband got that battery out! BUT they are SO MUCH CHEAPER that I feel taking a bit of extra care is worth the trade off. You will go through a LOT of batteries if your training is consistent. Be gentle with these batteries and they’ll work just fine.

I strongly recommend not buying these low quality generic batteries, which is a shame because they used to be an okay substitute for the name brand batteries.Bought these before for 3 dogs so I know what I am doing, and they worked okay.With Oct. 2018 order:1. The plastic is cheaper and now very soft so the slot to turn them on/off gets disfigured and makes it almost impossible to rotate the battery from on to off and the reverse. Something has gone wrong.2. It seems like the slot is not as deep so what I used before will not work, especially since the plastic is soft and the tool slips out. It always worked perfectly before.3. Probably the most annoying issue is that they no longer fit the bark collar: Now when inserting as a replacement, you must force them in, and it is extremely difficult to to turn the collar on and off. It’s like they became swollen (quality control or cheaper manufacturing or both). It takes a lot of strength and resourcefulness to slide these generic batteries on/off. It makes them useless.

I use these batteries for my dogs bark collar. They’ll last quite a while, but I bought them in the pack this time. buying these batteries in bulk was much cheaper than buying them at the battery store just a heads up. Just pop out the old battery pop the new one in Voila! I only use the collor at night, but a battery can last many many months because of that

Work great in our PetSafe cat collar. Installed with no problems just like the original $$$$ batteries. Hard telling about long-live use, but at this price who cares. Will be buying more as the brand name is WAY TO EXPENSIVE I recommend as of now. If anything changes I will update.
