10175 Surge Guard 50 Amp Voltage Regulator

So far so good. It has worked already a few times due to low voltage.Note: you will need 3 pieces to totally protect your RV. You also need a Technology Research 44270 Surge Guard 50 Amp Surge Protector upstream to protect the Voltage regulator from a spike i.e. lightning strike. I didn't know that this part was needed until after I got the Voltage Regulator.Also need a Technology Research 34850 50 Amp Portable Surge Guard After (downstream) of this unitTechnology Research 10175 Surge Guard 50 Amp Voltage Regulator this goes in the middle.Before and after pic of the voltage. Bought this from Dyers and for the 1st 2 wks at the park with fluctuating power it was great! However now in the 2nd week at this second park, after 1 wk of A-Ok readings it now says: both red lights on = "Line & Neutral are Reversed!" but of course nothing physical has changed at the park post box or my SGVR and actual Surge Protector (that reads A-OK) and using my circuit checker at the outlets, it also reads A-OK ... so something has gone amiss inside the SGVR! I would recommend it to stabilize (very heavy transformer inside this yellow box) your 30 AMP power source, nothing else. Of Course This Item Is NOT Made In USA! DK

Works flawlessly. Where I live the voltage normally runs around 110 volts. Often the voltage will drop to 105 volts and once in a while it drops below 102 volts. After installing the voltage regulator when the voltage drops below 108 volts it kicks in and boosts the voltage by 10% to an acceptable range.

So far it have not needed this, but best to have this and not need it than to need it and not have it. It has weathered the elements and can be locked to the trailer using a cable through the legs and handles to prevent easy pilfering.

My wife and I are oilfield gate keepers in South Texas. We were worried about running power from the generator straight to the 5th wheel. This regulator performed like a charm and the 100 plus degree days didn't phase it.

Works great! Keep it with us for the older parks, like Thousand Trails. Kept the voltage up as promised. Wish I had got it sooner.
