Appears to be very high quality. It definitely removes ferrous metal particles.

I was wanting a magnet on my dipstick to catch metal fragments in my new generator during break-in. Though I haven’t yet used my generator, I feel this could help prevent damage to the engine, as it should catch the metal shavings while in operation.

needs to be made a darker color, hard to see oil level against the stainless color when the oil is clean

Product screwed right in to place no problems - should have purchased prior to engine break in period (generator). A bit pricey but knew that going into it.

Due to the angle of the factory dipstick tube on my Champion generator, the original flat bladed stick is woefully inaccurate - which can lead to overfilling and the potential for an oily mess. That's no longer an issue since installing this replacement. The conical design gives me a much better gauge of how much oil, if any, needs to be added. High-quality construction, it should last forever. Hefty gasket seals great, and it only requires minimal torque to tighten or remove. The magnet is a nice bonus, which may help extend engine life a bit if you change your oil regularly.

This dipstick was recommended as part of the break-in process on one of the deal forums that listed the Champion 100520. Seems to be a high quality part and shipped within a week of ordering. It fits perfectly in the generator (hand tighten)I ran the generator for the first hour and drained the oil. You can see in the pictures the amount of metal fragments that it picked up. I ran it for another hour and drained the oil again. It was still picking up metal shavings. It does get really hot since it's made of metal, so use a towel or something before handling it.

The WEN GN875i is essentially a clone of the Champion 8750 Watt Inverter Generator that this magnetic disptick is specified for. It fits exactly the same and has done a good job so far during my break in of catching small bits. The only ding that is somewhat inherent tot he design is that it gets very hot due to conducting the heat up from the oil reservoir. You'll need to either use a thick rag, or just wait a good while for the unit to cool down before you can handle it.
