I've been into FTA for about 13 years and needed a basic box to replace my previous one that took a lightening strike. I'm in the US (Indiana) and running a 1 meter Ku dish with an SG2100 motor.So far no major complaints. It boots up quickly, the GUI is easy to navigate, picture quality is excellent and there are no A/V sync issues. Overall, it's very straight forward with no need to look at the manual, which is basic at best.USALS was easy to setup and DiSEqC1.2 allows for manual bumping east and west.Blind scans are very fast and it doesn't seem to miss any feeds. The ability to manually enter a transponder is a bit buried in the menus, but it is doable.The remote control layout is excellent and the keys have a nice tactile feel. It also has a learning function for 4 keys along the top.The unit does include a WiFi dongle which is easy to setup in the Network menu, but the only item on the menu is youtube and that doesn't work. It most likely needs an update which I haven't done yet.I'm not into IKS or encryption, but there is a secret menu with many different options.It also has the typical recording and time shift capabilities when a USB stick or HD is attached.As with most boxes, there are only a couple of satellites preprogrammed for North America. Adding satellites literally takes seconds...punch in the position and give it a name. I currently have 13 satellites setup.I notice many boxes get unfair/worthless 1 star reviews because they only come preprogrammed with East satellites where FTA is popular. If you can't figure out how to add West satellites, you have no business being in the FTA hobby.Some cons:It does not have an optical output which I would have liked. It won't stream to a phone or tablet through WiFi like my previous box. Updates are only through USB, there is no RS232 port, so if you brick it there's probably no hope of bringing it back.It's not the ultimate FTA box, but it's still a solid 5 star for the price.

The description (from this seller) is incorrect, this model (V7S2X) does not support/display v.265 channels. Other than that, it is an excellent receiver, it is easy and quick to operate and it has great sensitivity. One thing missing is a transponder editor or manual-add function, but there is a software program on the GT Media site that may accomplish the same function. I highly recommend this receiver.

es un buen receptor, lijero pero la antena wifi directamente no va, tienes que comprar una nueva que te puede valer 10 euros en españa. si lo cojes solo àra FTA esta bien.

La antena WIFI no es compatible con el equipo y no la detecta, esto en ambas unidades.

I used it to get european channels, but did not work. It scans the satelites for programs, finds them, but does not play anything.
