1/4 Mile Long Range Wireless Driveway Alarm w/Two Sensors Kit Outdoor Weather Resistant Motion Sensor/Detector- Best DIY Security Alert System- Protect Home, Perimeter, Yard, Garage, Pool : desertcart.in: Home Improvement Review: I have used these for over a year and they work great. They have many different kinds of sounds for the alarms for different sensors. Batteries have lasted over a year in sensors. So far so good. Thumbs up! Review: Purely awesome! I bought a different motion sensor prior to this and it was utter garbage! The device didn't even pick up vehicles. I returned that and took a chance on these, even though they were twice the price. I have to say, they are 100% worth the extra cost. I can now be notified, in a very rural area (full of trees and brush) when vehicles go up and down my very long driveway from the highway! I love the different tones as I can tell at what point on my driveway the car has reached! I can also keep track of people walking the driveway! This device has taken all the worry out of intruders and trespassers on the property as I can now tell what's going on. I have zero line of sight to these sensors and I still get a signal. I am so incredibly happy I purchased these and will definitely be purchasing more sensors to add on! Installation and setup was so unbelievably easy.

Really, really like this. Would buy again. Would recommend. I have had 2 driveway alarms installed for a year now. They work very well. The setting sun can trigger false alarms when the sun angle changes with the changing season. The fix is to turn the alarm slightly to the South in my case so the sun's rays don't trigger it. Spiders crawling across the lens can trigger it. Solution: sprayed Spectracide Insect spray all over it and up under its little protective hood where spiders love to live. If it is raining hard it might miss a car. If the car is traveling real fast it might miss it - but this seldom happens. Birds can trigger them - not much you can do to prevent that from happening - that's life. But my angle iron cover does keep the birds from pushing the alarm’s head down. Like one of the reviewers said - put a small piece of electric tape over the screw holes to keep muddobbers or something from filling up the tiny screw holes with mud. At the bottom I have listed the size of replacement screws. I welded up a bonnet for these to sit under. The steel bonnet keeps birds and squirrels from pushing the little alarm down - changing the aim so that it is pointing down at the ground. The metal cover also shades them and keeps them protected from the elements like hail. I have one mounted to a movable stand and one mounted to a pipe dance. After several months they started sending the alarm 30 seconds or more after the car had passed. The problem was I had added a wireless access point, a hot spot right beside the indoor base unit. The wireless access point was jamming the signal. Remedy: moved the access point about 14 feet away. They work very well. I would recommend. For replacement screws buy these M2.5 with a thread pitch of .45. https://www.amazon.com/HVAZI-Metric-Stainless-Socket-Assortment/dp/B07F14J7X8/ref=pd_rhf_ee_p_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HBZ5MTB059Y8FFDSE2MQ

Absolutely love this. I’ve only had it for a few weeks, but it has worked flawlessly with zero false alarms. I have a long horseshoe shaped driveway where cars come in one way and can exit another way. I set up two sensors with different chimes for entry and exit so I always know when and where someone is arriving and driving or walking down the drive, but also know when and where they are exiting from. It’s also so helpful getting a heads up when deliveries are being made and I can now catch my delivery guys in the act of placing packages in the wrong place because I know they're coming. Just today I was able to see that one of them was taking a shortcut through my flower beds on his way to our front door. I can’t tell you how helpful this is. It was easy to set up, and I have no complaints except for the fact that I don’t like that there are 4 tiny screws that need to be removed to change batteries. Would much prefer something that latches with a waterproof seal for much easier access (this is also the place you need to access in order to to make custom changes to the sensor.....so not at all convenient). I am not giving it 5 stars because in this day and age they should really have Bluetooth capabilities with an app. If I’m working out back in the yard, I’m not about to bring the receiver out with me every time I go outside, so in that circumstance I have no clue when someone is driving or walking up my driveway. So, having an app that can send notifications of activity to my phone would bring this up to five stars for sure. In any case, I highly recommend.

Simply a great product. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, no more and no less. Funny how refreshingly positive that is today! I have two detectors and two receivers. The system was easy to install and works great. We live in an area which can get high winds and heavy rains which most motion detectors will pick up as "motion" (swaying tree limbs and all that). But this one does not... yet it has not missed a single person or car entering the property. Accurate detection with no false positives. Perfect. The two receivers ensure the signal can be heard inside the house at various locations (yet it is silent to the "guest" coming onto the property). Again, perfect. Love this system.
