Cinnamon has been known for centuries for indigestion, nausea, diarrhea, and mitigating heavy menstrual bleeding and more recently, lung congestion issues, as it helps clear up mucus and encourages circulation. Cinnamon has also shown to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides. Even more, cinnamon helps reduce inflammation (many types of pain, headaches as well as arthritis pain). There are several types of cinnamon. Saigon, Ceylon and Cassia. As I have the opportunity to source around the globe before making a choice for our customers. I researched extensively. My conclusion? Cassia offers the highest health benefits. My decision was confirmed when I read Tim Ferriss (The 4-Hour Body). As you know, Tim Ferriss is well researched and respected. His findings met mine that 'Saigon was best for modulating blood glucose, with Cassia a close second and Ceylon not even effective'. But wait.., Some people say Cassia has more Coumarin!
