classy yet understated... there are quality boots/shoes/shoeboots. Obviously they are dress boots and will get broken in regarding the fine conditioned leather. I found the laces too short and will be buying longer ones to suffice my needs. Them stating choosing a half a size smaller is dead on for myself anyway. These are quite lovely, highly recommended.

After owning these pair of boots for 6 years, I can say I’m pretty happy with the quality and how they have held up. I own 3 pairs of Thursday boots and they all seem to be very well made. I think as long as you take care of the leather properly and make sure to condition it and maybe apply a shoe cream to protect the color it’ll actually wear very nice and look better with age.My only complaint with Thursday boots in general is that they don’t offer a whole lot of cushion and there isn’t much space in the shoe to add your own but even still it’s plenty comfortable for walking around in, just not for like hiking or all day kind of walking. I’ve been wearing these shoes as my daily work shoe since they look pretty good dressed up or dressed down. I’ve also worn them when traveling and exploring new cities, dancing around at weddings and parties or just going shopping and I don’t have many complaints as they are a very versatile pair of shoes.I’d recommend these to anyone looking for a solid quality boot that can pair with many outfits but I’d recommend looking at other shoes if you prefer more a rugged boot or need more cushion support in the heel and midsole.

I had to send these back as the advice on getting a 1/2 size down from my regular fitted too small. I also didn't like the fact that the soles squeaked when I walked on our tile floor, and there was no padding on the interior.return was easy and they did seem well made other than the issues mentioned.

Excellent Quality Fits perfectly!

The Scout is a handsome chukka boot with an especially good-looking mocha suede and solid construction. I can feel the weight of the materials and have no doubt they'll last a long time, but also that it'll take some wear to work the stiff sole until it's comfortable. Unfortunately for me, the shoe and my feet don't match up well and I had to return it.

Unbelievable quality for the price. The interior of the shoe is soft leather, the sole is much more durable and reliable than the crepe sole found on Clarks desert boots. These boots can be worn with a suit or with jeans. The sizing is very accurate, I do not recommend ordering a size down as some people have mentioned. I wear a size twelve in Clarks, Nike, New Balance etc...I ordered size twelve in these boots and they fit perfectly. I recommend getting some leather conditioning wax or oil for proper maintenance. I expect to have these boots for a long time, if they fail to live up to that expectation I'll update this review, but in the meantime, I'm stunned by the awesomeness of the scout boot. Pictures cannot describe how good these look and feel when you open the box. Update, customer service is incredible at Thursday Boot co. I had a small defect on the toe of the boot, I didn’t notice it until the third time wearing them, I contacted Thursday Boots and they shipped new ones out immediately!!!!! I’m sold! UPDATE: These boots have separated from the rubber sole at the toe, after only two months of wear. They began separating after a couple days, and Thursday boot sent me a replacement pair, no questions asked, excellent customer service. The replacement pair had the same issue!!! The third replacement pair also has the same issue. I wish the durability was more substantial on these boots, because they’re extremely comfortable, they look like they’re 3 times the actual price, and the company has provided the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. I haven’t heard any issues regarding the president, or the captain. Maybe the issue is only affecting the scout. UPDATE: one year review...I’ve been wearing these for a year now, and the toe issue has proven to be not an an issue at all. These have stood the test of time, I’ve worn them to work (I walk outside all day) all year, they’re still in perfect condition!

Returned the shoes after only wearing for a week. I work a desk job so nothing strenuous on shoes. Toe delaminated from the soul. I was disappointed that when I sent in the return I was charged a $32 damage fee - the reason I sent them back. They fit to size and looked fine but they were not well-made shoes. I have been wearing the same clarks for almost 3 years and not had them fall apart. I wanted to try something new but was disappointed.
