Very solid
This replacement has worked well. While it is very easy to install the piece into the back of my GPS, attaching it to the 'ball' requires some strength. You do have to apply a bit of pressure, and it really snaps in loud once you push it in. So, you will not have to worry about a loose fit and the GPS unit sagging from the dash. On the other hand, if you take the unit on and off your dash frequently, it may not be a bad idea to put the unit in a soft case when taking it down, with the GPS attached to the suction cup.

Better then the original
My first take is that this mount is better than the original I received from Garmin! It takes a -lot- more force to put the GPS on the mount with this plate installed, and to remove it, but while mounted it is very stable. No more screen moving around when I encounter bumps or potholes.

Do you need it?
Do you need it? Yes you do because like all things things break and break when you don’t want them to this is a perfect replacement for the original OEM part that my Garmin came with I would hardly notice the difference. Perfect replacement.

Original broke and this replacement works just fine. It was a bit tight to remove but it has loosened up now. No complaints so far.

Make sure you get the right one for your nav model
This one works great. It is a little hard to remove from the back of the nav, but that maybe a good thing. You really don't want to have it falling off.

break easily
i am to really satisfied with this item, use it for a couple of time but it always end up breaking, not well built, i think i will try another model.
