Honestly, this is one of those items that, upon seeing it once and screwing it to the camera, you ponder: "Why didn't someone think of this, earlier?" It's a MUST have adjunct for the serious photographer, and totally frees up one's hands for other, more important things like boosting that apple off the shelf or groping another. I mean, how many times have you had to adjust your gait just to accommodate some elephantine SLR hanging from your neck as it swung around, threatening innocent bystanders with serious injury from 2-pounds plus of steel, brass and glass as you blithely step around potential subjects? With this accessory, those days are over. Available even quicker than that power-shot in your pocket, your DSLR is now instantly accessible, like the gunslinger's weapon in Westworld! Never miss another shot, and limit that pesky pounding you used to take on your chest! Buy one!

This is a great camera strap. There are A LOT of straps this style but after using a few I have noticed a couple key things to consider before purchasing. The strap is very well made, the shoulder pad is comfortable and stays on the shoulder for the most part. It will slip after a few times sliding the camera to your face but it's to be expected. The KEY thing to look for is the plate that mounts to the camera. Some have a small screw that mounts to the camera that you clip the carabiner to. This had a L-bracket that mounts to the camera. A MUCH better option IMO. Because the L-bracket allows the camera to hang at a better angle on your waist. Also, and thus is VERY important! The hole where you attach the carabiner is reinforced! Trust me when I say I ALMOST dropped a camera due to a plate that was NOT reinforced. The metal simply wore out from wearing it. So to close this review buy this strap because it has two very important details that make this a great strap. Hope this helps others!

Although this makes it really easy and convenient to release your camera when you're ready to take a photo, it doesn't allow you to adjust the straps like in the photo. I was trying to adjust the straps so that the camera would hang a little lower but it doesn't work. I guess you get what you pay for.

Overall I love this item, and wish I had it while walking through London and Paris on my last vacation. It takes the weight my camera off my neck and I can have it with me all day without feel strained. But the score I give it is for one exception, the shoulder pad slides on the strap and ends up moving to my back and I have the strap cutting into my neck. If it had a way of locking into place it would be absolutely perfect.

Rather short, with limited ability to lengthen. I guess the guy in the picture is pretty short. A 6' tall, the strap barely gets to my mid-section, and is nowhere close to my hip. The mount however, is pretty good, and has sturdy so far.

Do not buy this item. I had only just pulled it out of the box to set it up and the stitching started to come undone in the shoulder strap. biggest piece of crap I have ever purchased.
