Nice sanding belts
I have a stand alone belt sander and it works great.

Good value, long lasting
I have only had occasion to use this sanding belt a few times, it has already outlasted the economy belts that were purchased at the time I bought the sander. They appear to be very well constructed and the glued joint is holding up well, the grit is not deteriorating too rapidly. I will be purchasing this brand again

Great Product
I use the Powertec sanding belts nearly everyday in my home workshop. They are durable and out last last those purchased at the local hardware. They are a great product and value for the dollar.

Long Lasting
These sanding belts are great. Other sanding belts Ive used have come apart at the seam, or have the grit run out quickly, but this one just needs a quick cleaning with a sanding belt cleaning block and it continues to wear nicely and sand well.

They work...mostly.
The belts for this brand seem to be prone to a less-smooth seam in the belt - some of the belts (I have 30+ of various grits) have a gap close to an 1/8 of a inch wide in the seam, which can make the wood skip and defeats the whole purpose of a fine grit. I can make it work, but it's annoying to have to focus on preventing the wood from skipping. For coarser grits, it doesn't cause a big problem, but the finer grits are a problem. In this context, 180 is a medium-fine grit in my mind so it works, but only on the belts with the smallest gaps - a couple belts may sit in my stash forever and not get used.Pros: the belts last a pretty long while (1 belt per grit to sand all of the wood for a bunk bed - including the ladder and rails.)Cons: the seams need help on a few belts. If I could change anything about this product: make the seam perfectly smoothPackaging type: bulk - the sanding belts arrived wrapped in clear plastic with a sticker label attached.Construction Quality: it didn't come apart or anything like that, but the seem of some belts makes for a less-than-ideal sanding experience.Would I buy again: maybe for this grit, if cost is driving the decision - yes, if quality - no. As a rule for this brand though, for 120 grit and below, yes. For 150-180 grit - maybe. Everything 220 and above is unlikely. If you found this review helpful - please click the "Yes" button below this review indicating so - thanks!

An exellent option before you step up to a 72" sander.
Excellent belts so far, I use them for knife making. They are cutting down the time, and lowering my overall costs to produce hand made knives that have the finish I demand to charge 300.00 + for custom knives.
